Visit: Monday, May 5, 2022. Table of 7. Less than 5 minute wait with reservation. Appetizers came out quick, the drinks were perfect, the servers were cool- friendly-& attentive, the Appetizers were delicious, & everyone enjoyed their meal! I'll definitely come back! The Maui Steak was everything! The loaded backed potatoes was insanely good, the ribs were tender & tasty!
I would definitely recommend J. Alexander's! It had a great ambiance setting for a dime & romantic date night or for a family dinner night out. The food portion size is pretty good for the price. The dessert was bigger then we imagined and fed the four of us. For some folks, the restaurant might feel somewhat pricey, but the environment and food portion made up for it; it's worth it and I'll be back.
Went here on a Saturday afternoon. Was delightfully surprised with the number of patrons there and enjoying themselves. Waiter was extremely pleasant and accommodating . Foods (chicken salad, fish entrees & chicken burger) were ample (if not more so) and tasty. Everything excellent !! Will come again. Easy drive in off of Broward Blvd.
Place is beautiful. Warm and antique looking place. Food, salmon was good Orso was good also. Appetizers was great. Not to mention the drinks was great and not to expensive.
We sat outside, where it was so dark that we had to use our phone lights to read the menu. I got the mahi mahi sandwich w fries. It was fried w such heavy breading that I could not taste the fish at all. The fries needed salt. My bf got the ribs w coleslaw and broccoli. The dish was okay but nothing special. Server wasn't terribly attentive. Overall, the meal and service didn't justify the price.
Beautiful decor but inside very dark. Covid protocol, very good staff, good food & menu. Ice tea very weak, Susan's shrimp and my fish were both good.
Excellent service fast and friendly staff!I had the jumbo fried shrimp, fries, and coleslaw!It was made from scratch with a side of, cocktail sauce,Tarter Sauce, Ketchup, and Lemon wedges!Giant open styled decor with a gorgeous bar!
Friendly wait staff. Very busy evening Friday of Presidents Weekend. Food delicious and cooked to order. Busy but did not feel rushed .
Well this is my deceased Mother’s favorite restaurant. For years we went to the Ft Lauderdale location. We’ve been to the Boca location for business lunches and this is is the first time at the Plantation store. All are great but I have to say the servers here we awesome! Especially Jessica! Today I had the crispy Mahi Mahi sandwich and Mac and Cheese my partner had the Alex salad which she has all the time LOL! Awesome as usual. You have to go if you haven’t!
