The taste reminds me of the food I use to have in Middle East. The chef does a really good job. As soon as you are seated, they serve you Arabic bread and garlic sauce. They also offer house salad. I tried most of their items. Shawarmas are basic but the platters are a hit. Lamb chops were juicy and tender. Spicy rice is good too. If they have fresh kunafa try it.
We ordered takeout at Al Natour Middle Eastern Restaurant. It is located on Sunrise and University Drive in a large strip mall with plenty of parking. It is located next to a Japanese restaurant. We ordered appetizers: falafel (6 pieces for $5.99) and spanakopita (6 pieces for $6.99). We also ordered the lamb shish kebab ($15.99). The large and spicy falafel balls were good but I prefer softer falafel with more herbs. My favorite was the spanakopita - the appetizer size was large enough for a light meal. The lamb shish kebab platter was also good. The order came with around 8 large pieces of tender meat cooked medium rare. We chose the plain yellow rice (instead of spicy rice). The platter came with pink dyed turnips and pickled carrot chunks. I did not enjoy the large pieces of pickled veggies - it might have been better if the raw veggies were shredded. The meal came with what I think was pita bread. The bread was cold, very dry and flat (not fluffy) with no pocket.
In my opinion, this is the best Middle Eastern restaurant in South Florida. Highly recommended. The staff, honestly, can be quite rude and seem extremely inconvenienced when taking orders/seating patrons.
This is -so far- one of the best Middle Eastern Restaurant in Broward county. I highly recommend the Mix Grilled Platter. Ideal to share, a great option of traditional food. All the ingredients are fresh and the food is great.Excellent customer service. My favorite Arabic restaurant.
We were recommended to meet here for supper to see our friends . We were served turnips and pita bread right away with water . We ordered vegetarian grape leaves . And tabouli . Main course : Mixed Grill Platter with recommended spicy rice . Tea and baklava for desert .
The food is always so tasty and delicious! And the service is great! Would definitely recommend.
Delicious food, friendly service.
Delicious food. I was visiting Florida for a day, friends suggested this place. Lamb kebob was best of all. Tea was also good. Staffs were friendly.
Was visiting Fort Lauderdale area with family and stopped by for lunch on Sunday. At 11.45 am, people were just trickling in. We were immediately seated and welcomed by Abed a very nice young man. Complimentary pita bread with spicy sauce and pickled vegetables was just the start to a wonderful culinary experience. We ordered Shakshoka and falafel for appetizers, simply amazing, extremely fresh and so flavourful. The main course included chicken shawarma, lamb shank kabsa platter and kafta kabab platter. They were all very tasty and lip smacking delicacies. Finished up with an assortment of wonderful sweets, kunafa and bird nest. When we walked out of the restaurant an hour or so later all of us had smiles on our faces, the fabulous food had hit the spot. Will definitely back next time we are here.
The food, the service and the ambiance was as authentic as it comes! The live music was the cherry on top. I would come here at least twice a week if I loved in FL. Amazing food - good hospitality!
