My mom and I went in for lunch. The staff is very friendly. We both had patty melts and they were awesome. We took home a piece of coconut cake and it was amazing.I recommend this place if you like home cooked meals.

I was very excited to go to this restaurant because I grew up in TN and love meat and threes. I got the turkey and dressing, black eyed peas and mashed potatoes and gravy. I was so disappointed the only thing I liked was the cornbread- it was delicious! The black eyed peas were not cooked all the way and the dressing and gravy was flavorless, even after adding salt. My husband loved his country fried steak. The young lady server was super kind and the service was great. I will definitely try breakfast because I’ve heard good reviews, I just won’t do lunch again.

On our way to see an attraction and found this jewel. What is not to like. An older restaurant filled with love.. We barely got in the door and were greeted with a sweet voice, sit where you like. Within 5 minutes we were given recommendations and we took them. My wife had a big piece of ham, with eggs, potatoes and toast. I had the fried catfish, eggs, hash browns and toast. We split a small biscuit and gravy. 2 drinks. $31. Wow! The catfish was moist and the breading was fantastic. I wish I could find more places like this. If it wasn't so far, I'd come every day. Check it out!!

My family and I entered this restaurant and smelt nothing but mildew. When seated, the condiment containers were caked with food/ grease. The last straw was when I looked over to their blinds and saw at least 1/4 of an inch of dust. Reviews state the food is good, it's a shame because the cleanli ess is so poor that my family and I refused to order.

Great place to eat in downtown Plant City! Menu is Southern goodness, served by a very friendly staff. Have been twice, and the food is consistently good and served fairly quickly. My guests had fried steak and onions, grilled chicken wrap, and Cuban sandwich. sides were corn, fries, Lima beans, collard greens or turnips can't remember, but everyone enjoyed the down home vibe and laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend you check them out, plus there are cool shops all around.

It was good. My Salisbury steak was overcooked but they cooked the second one correctly. Ordered a slice of Hummingbird Cake to go. When I got home that night and opened package, Cake slice was inadequate or small. A few more adjustments and they would get a 5 star from me.

Absolutely try this place!!! The hubs and I took my parents here It was our first time and let me tell u it's was really good. The place itself was cute and clean. The staff was excellent but the star is the food. It's like eating at my nannies house u know that good comfort food. We will be bck and so will many others I tell about this place

I gave one star because the moment we walked in and found our seats, I pulled my chair out and a roach fell from the chair. I understand restaurants have critters and that it is inevitable but this was just an immediate turn off for us. My mistake was that I didnt let a manager know...

Breakfast was not a good experience. They were busy and I understand short staffed. But we seated ourselves at a booth that hadn't been cleaned off yet (no big deal, we're patient people). When it did get cleared though, there was no wipe down of the table. We asked for an extra plate for our 2 year old and it came out dirty. Silverware was wrapped dirty. And half of the old grease from the cook top was in my food. All in all, not worth the $45 we spent to feed our family of 4.

Yummy, friendly staff, healthy options....good choice for lunch.
