DELICIOUS FOOD!! The ribs were seasoned nicely but I would've liked to have them finished off with BBQ sauce on them already. Instead, they have three BBQ sauces on the table for you to pick which is nice too. The chicken was amazing as well! Loved it.
What a great BBQ place!!! From the moment we entered the restaurant we had a great experience. Oh - I wish I could remember our waitress - Ceclia? Cecely? Oh, dear - she was a gem! She was patient and accomodating with our requests and she appeared at just the right times during our meal to check on us and provide re-fills on our drinks. Now to the food - YUM, YUMMY, NOM, NOM, NOM! There were four of us dining that evening and we each sampled a variety of menu items. From the fried catfish, to the smoked wings, pulled pork BBQ and the BBQ'd chicken.....everything was delicious. The variety of sauces to try was good as well. Thank you for providing us with such a delicious and professional dining experience. We all highly recommend Johnson BBQ!!! Although we were only in town for a specific event for a few days, we ALL agreed that we would certainly return here to enjoy another meal.
Quick service! But it was 2pm. ;). Ordered beef brisket, 1/2lb chopped. Bacon Grits. Looks great! Was about 1/3rd of the way through it before I thought to add BBQ sauce.
This is a fantastic bbq place and you won’t leave hungry! The onion rings are crispy and tender. The pimento burger was juicy and delicious. The ribs had deep flavor and paired well with everything. The bbq chicken was super tasty and juicy. The brisket was flavorful and tender. The Mac and cheese was really cheesy deliciousness! From fried okra to fried green tomatoes, this place was top notched!
1 st time dining here and we went during lunch on a Thursday. I ordered the smokehouse salad with pork. The salad was very fresh and the pulled pork had a great flavor. The others in the group order the potato skins and it was freaking huge serving. Definitely something that could be shared. The last order was turkey tacos and cheese grits. They said they were really good. The turkey had awesome taste to it.
Popular barbecue place in Plant City. All of the traditional barbecue dishes, plus many original creations. Prices are reasonable and food is ready in a timely fashion. Nice, spread out dining area and very friendly service.
The positive reviews were right. Had a great dinner and a wonderful wait staff. Would definitely go again.
Have to say I was quite impressed with this BBQ joint. You know it has to be a great place when you walk in and there is a host of Plant City's finest in the dining room. They have a very nice selection of other things besides the standard Pit offerings but let's be real you aren't eating Pit why bother going to a BBQ place. I ordered a rib plate that came with an additional meat so I opted for dark chicken. Also get two sides and a heavenly roll (similar to Texas Roadhouse, but even better if that is possible) sides are pretty standard fare so I opted for Mac and cheese and corn pudding with bacon. RIBS were amazing..some of the best I have had in a long while. They have 3 sauces and both the sweet and regular complimented the ribs nicely but you absolutely do not need sauce. The chicken did need some help and in my opinion the regular vinegar based sauce was the better choice. When I saw the sides I was afraid I was going to be disappointed with the Mac and cheese because it looked dry. It was not..it had a nice cheese flavor with a small peppery kick. The corn was really good too. They make a real good sweet tea too..All around a great meal and I will be back. As a kicker they offer a 50% discount for Veterans, First Responders, and the likes.

Don't stop if you are hungry. Small portions at a high price. Costs almost $40 with tip and we were still hungry.
