Went here last night for some smoked BBQ. Hadn't been here in a while.My wife had St Louis Ribs which she liked. I tried the Sliced Brisket sandwich. Although the brisket was tender, there was no smoked taste whatsoever. None!Seems like when we last came, I had the Chicken dinner and it had little to no smoked flavor also.When your TV commercials show your Pit Masters walking through smoke, we, your customers, expect to get that flavor. You used to do it a while back.Now it seems you pipe the wood smell outside to the front of the restaurant as we are entering the door. Why the disparity? And, the prices keep going up but the smoked flavor keeps sliding down.On the positive side, the server we had, Trish, served us well and was friendly. Koodos to her! Your decor changes are upscale and more open.The bottom line here, for me, is the BBQ food here has to taste smokey!
Came in at 3:30pm on a Tuesday. Hardly anyone here and couldn't find an employee to seat me for about 5 minutes, just people in the back chatting. Floor had what appeared to be a soft drink, dripped all over from the door to about 7ft past the hostess station. I alerted the hostess/server and they said they'd get to it when they can. Then I was seated at a table that hadn't been cleaned. Unbelievable. Poorly managed for sure. Ordered a pulled pork on garlic bread. The garlic bread was /hard/stale. Let the waitress know and she brought me some fresh garlic bread to transfer the pulled pork to.
Went to Pinellas Park Sonny's today for the Wednesday special. Got this text saying" National BBQ Month @Sonnys Pin Park! Every WED in May Sliced/Pulled Pork Big Deal Combo $6.99, Chicken Dinners $8.99. All u can eat, alcohol, taxes not included" so my wife and I both ordered the all u can eat chicken, food was good and very filling with first plate. I ordered extra beans and my wife did not get anything else. When the bill came the dinner was not $8.99 it was $19.99. I asked the waitress about it and she said $8.99 meal was not all u can eat and she had been dealing with this same issue all day. Nice way to con the public, extra beans cost me $11.00. I could have ordered two complete meals for myself for less than $19.99I really believe customers should be informed that the text was not what it said it was, but this store leaves the waitresses to deal with the problems they made. FALSE ADDVERTISMENT leaves a bad taste in a customers mouth more so than the food does.Update:Very fast response from Sonny's, they called and apologized for the misunderstanding and wanted to make things right. They did just that.Again the food was very good and we are regular customers so I really appreciate their concern for what their customers think of them.
Me and my wife have been coming to this Sonny's for about ten years. We live in Tampa and make the drive to come to this place. NOT anymore I ordered all you can eat baby back ribs waited over 30 minutes for a reorder they never came nor did I get any more baked beans nothing. This used to be a Great place to eat now it just plain SUCKS. If the owner of this place is reading this GET A NEW MANAGER because he is running this place into the ground. I will be looking for a new Sonny's to visit.
Very friendly service, great food, very clean
Very disappointed at this particular location....I got the all you can eat St. Luis ribs. First round was fine, then I got a completely burnt dried out second round (see pics below). One of the servers was very dismissive, the Manger was non-chalant, instead tried to convince me it was the same quality. Clearly, they charge you an extra $6 for leftovers/bad batch. Do yourself a favor and find another place to get ribs. (There plenty of good ones around the area)
Awesome experience. Good food. Fast service despite shortage of cooks!! My son absolutely LOVED the huge chocolate chip cookies for dessert! My burger with swiss on garlic bread was fantastic.
ordered loaded tots as appetizer and had very little sauce and basically no onion rings on it. mostly tots with nothing on them. not great bbq. got it and nothing to write home about. wife did like sausage.

This place is outstanding. Very highly recommended. I moved here from the Midwest where we know our barbecue. And this ranks right up there. Will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor, and give this place a try if you haven’t already.
