My wife and I visited for the first time today On the recommendation of my sister. Very good food, and the young lady at the front counter was incredibly patient and helpful as we looked over the menu.Kid-friendliness: Watching the staff interact with children at another table was a joy to watch. They are very family friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access
Months ago we had this place catered to my work. I really enjoyed it and decided to come here on a lunch date with my kiddo. Very clean and extremely friendly staff. Food was hot and fresh and came in a timely manner. I ordered the dry rubbed wings and they were served crispy and not gummy just how I enjoy them. I will be back.
Delicious as always. The staff were fast and friendly and the food was so hot and tasty! I love voodoo bbq. I got the shrimp poboy, which is my go to, but I usually order at work. Man let me tell you, that is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The fries are always perfectly seasoned, and the mac and cheese I ordered on the side was so yummy. I will never turn down a trip to Voodoo. If you get the chance drop on buy and grab a dish. I've never had a bad bite from the brisket to the jambalaya, you CAN'T go wrong!
This place was so good. The good was fresh the restaurant was so clean and the workers were polite and courteous. I really enjoyed my lunch. Thanks VooDoo. I'll definitely be back. I had the catfish platter with red beans and rice and a side salad
I ate here a couple of weeks ago with my daughter. The one star rating is not because of the staff. The young lady who took my order was very kind and professional. The one star rating is for the terrible food I was given for the price. My daughter ordered the shrimp po boy and the bread was so tough that she could barely eat it. As for me I ordered the 2 combo platter and the brisket was dry and the pulled pork had way too much fat. Will never be eating here again. I do not recommend.
Solid food, really unique take on BBQ that you won't find at any other location, but it's an acquired taste as the food is very deeply, richly smoked and that becomes the predominate flavor. While I appreciated it, my wife didn't. The portions are fairly sized and I doubt you'll leave hungry. Beyond that I was unable to get half of my order due to them being out of several menu items, such as the chicken salad, sweet potatoes, etc. If I had a dollar for every time I heard "No, we're out of that" while placing my order it would have covered a quarter of the bill. Lastly, the price was considerable, definitely on the higher price tier for local BBQ spots, and no military discount to speak of. Certainly something to consider if you're planning on being a bit more frugal. Still, I'd recomend giving the place a shot at least once, I personally enjoyed what food was available to order and it was worth the experience.
Only good if you order in because you get ripped off when you order to go on your portions. Smh $65 for scraps!
Husband ordered chopped brisket sandwich and got sliced brisket sandwich instead. He did not send it back because they were short-staffed as it was and it had already taken a while to get the food. I ordered their smoked chicken salad po' boy. The chicken salad was outstanding however the French bread it was served on was dry and over toasted and hard on the bottom, like it had been in a warmer, then was microwaved. I have microwaved bread too long myself, so I know how hard and dry it will get without looking browned, very much like the poboy bread I received.Due to the staffing shortage that day I decided to try to eat mostly just the chicken salad by itself because it did taste very good. Wish I had received some lightly toasted, nice and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside French bread though. We've lived in New Orleans so know good bread and this fell far short of what it should have been. There were two workers in the kitchen putting orders out and there was a manager that decided to go sit down with some friends at a table near us while we dined. It seemed like if there was a shortage of staff and orders were needing to be put out that could have been put off for a while.Cashier was very friendly and she busted her butt to try to get orders out to customers while running the register as well.
Let’s say first food is delicious most of the time. New to Pensacola & we thought we hit the jackpot when we found VooDoo. Buttttt service is awful. Orders take so long to get, cook on the line busy on & off his phone, snippy counter young lady when asking about order then when she brings the rest of our order she is very sarcastic. On one other visit our shrimp order must have been over looked. When I asked the manager about our order 30 minutes after ordering he claimed it takes that long to prepare. I knew different since we ordered it before. Not a good practice to lie. Just be honest- mistakes happen. Cold bbq shrimp dinners due to sitting on counter too long since it seemed more important to bag the to go orders first. Like I said good food but serve really needs some help. Our patience has run out. We won’t be back.
wow.. where do I start? the bbq was amazing... my salad was huge.. did not need to be made into a combo... but their sides are truly amazing too..
