Bad service. Bartender seemed friendly when we walked in then seemed mad she had to make us drinks. The margaritas were AWFUL. The menu suggests they’re craft margs. They’re actually plastic cups full of sour liquid and some tequila. I couldn’t even drink mine. No garnish or presentation. There was NO Cointreau or triple sec used to cut the sour, so it basically burned a hole in my stomach. GROSS. Since the drinks were apparently made with spite, we didn’t bother staying for the food.

Shaniya (at least that’s what the male bartender told us her name was) was very rude. We stood inside waiting to be served then thought maybe because of the crowd we weren’t being seen. We proceeded to walk outside to the bar window, we still didn’t get helped and someone else walked up inside and received service immediately. With the music being loud on the weekends, I tried to get the bartender’s (Shaniya) attention and she told me by trying to get her attention that wouldn’t get me served. She then told me I was being rude for trying to let her know that we haven’t been served and that she was currently serving the other person. My friend and I tried to explain to her that we weren’t trying to be rude and that there was no other way to get her attention besides trying to speak above the music. I never knew “Hey! Excuse me?” was rude. She told us she would not serve us and security was called on us. She then lied to management and stated we were being rude while another customer was standing beside us stating that we had waited for a while. Management then stepped in and provided us coupons to come back again for “a free drink.” Thanks to management for stepping in and helping get us served by the male bartender. (Shaniya’s husband/the male bartender)

Drinks okay. Food. Not a fan of at all. However if you want a Tex mex which in my personal opinion is a plain taco then this is your spot. I’m a meat that’s well marinated type of gal.

If you don’t want a taco that’s the size of your palm for 8 dollars I don’t recommend it. There’s far better for much cheaper price in pensacola, El Asador, La Mexicana, the Mexican market on 9 mile, etc. The “best in pensacola” award on their wall only because it’s next to Quint Studers wife’s restaurant coffee bar.

Friendly service, reasonably priced, and quality of food was outstanding. Ordered the Pollo Asada tacos and really enjoyed them.

The guacamole tasted like lime. The street tacos were good. The margaritas were extremely sour and had a ton of ice.

Today my mom and I visited Taco Agave. We wanted to sit outside but needed some shade. My mom walked in and asked the bartender if we could get an umbrella for our table. The bartender pointed to the where the umbrellas are stored and said help yourself. Then when we asked for a menu same bartender said use the Qc code on table then come up and tell me what you want. Qc codes on tables are worn down and work. I found one at the bar and we ordered from there. We ordered two strawberry margaritas and queso dip with chips. Margarita was in a plastic cup with no salt and tasted like syrup. The queso dip had the consistency of soup and was so salty we couldn’t eat it. My mom and have visited Taco Agave many times and never had this lack of service and poor quality of food. We should have known since no one else was there on a busy Saturday in downtown Pensacola.

My girlfriend said it was some of the best food she had ever eaten.

Today was my first time and I have to say the tacos are tasty. I think our group of 3 sitting in her face at the bar and the 2 gentlemen who entered about 10 minutes after us overwhelmed the server (Camille) a bit. Though we placed our orders first, the other gentleman were definitely getting better service. So much so in fact, they actually received OUR items. After 30-35 minutes waiting on our order, the 2 gentleman received our 3 orders of pollo asada, and the 3 of us received 2 plates of tacos. To share, I guess, like the two orders of chips and salsa we received instead of the 3 that went to the table of just two people. Someone’s math isn’t matching up in this place. But, Less than 10 minutes after the mixup occurred new orders were sent out. One was supposed to be without the extra spice and sadly that request, though initially acknowledged, was not fulfilled. Too many questions and no need to really answer, honestly. I didn’t like the service we received and I’m just not going to return. Again, kudos to the chef though.

Fun atmosphere, great bartenders, super fresh tacos!
