Sunday evening dinner for two. Cocktails and tuna dip at the bar. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. The view of Pensacola Bay are to die for. There is something for everyone on the menu. She had ahi tuna. I had the filet mignon. Both were timely, well prepared, well-presented and tasty. Wine selections are interesting and reasonably priced. Where we sat was not noisy as some others have commented. Might depend on where you are seated. There are different rooms. The interior has been redecorated. It is bright and cheerful and comfortable. EXTRA ADDED BONUS! The servers have handheld devices to place your order from the table and to take your credit card payment. Your card is never out of your sight. It even takes ApplePay. I wish all restaurants to make the investment to do this.

This was our first visit, we were there at 5:15 on a Thursday night. The cocktails were great and with the happy hour price making them $6 it was very nice. We did not order an appetizer. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, it was very tasty, the grits were to runny but the meal was good, portion size was less than expected. I had the Ahi Tuna, it was seared perfectly. The side dish was 'fingerling potatoes mashed" my first bite of those was the deal breaker for me. First they were cold, and the mash was heavy on the horseradish! I can honestly say I have never had that flavor in a mash and I will never again. This was a one and done place. The prices are high and the food portions were small. Service was good and the atmosphere was good but the menu pricing is high. Seafood meals over 30 and steak over 40 is an expectation of excellence. It was not excellent. It was ok.

I never write reviews, especially a bad one, this was extremely disappointing. My husband and I frequent many upscale restaurants in the area. Terrible food. I ordered shrimp and grits, very little grits and very runny. I asked for more grits and got charged an additional $4.75 on top of the $26 I paid for a small salad plate of food that should have been served in a bowl with a spoon (that maybe would have made it more satisfying and tasty). I also ordered a French Dip sandwich to go for my husband and he said I would have been better off with a roast beef sandwich from the Publix deli. This was very disappointing and we will not return or recommend this restaurant.

Incredibly noisy. Measured at over 80 decibels. Manager said they were waiting on materials to install to fix this. Wont go back until noise level is fixed.

Was excited to have a local restaurant move into a great space that has previously housed chain restaurants. Was very pleased with attentive wait staff, Jennifer is awesome and you will have a much better experience if you request her. Signature Drinks at bar lacked advertised flavor and ingredients. Dinner was good. Solid average for price in the area. We ordered bottles of wine during happy hour. The menu claims 10$ off ALL bottles of wine. But we were refused the bottle we ordered because they were almost sold out. They were sold out of many other bottles. Spoke to a manager and she was not willing to remedy the situation. Not sure why they would be sold out of non- perishable wine nor why they are not willing to honor their own menu for advertised happy hour. Have supported their prior locations and sister business.

I loved the view, it looks out to the bay. The servers are very friendly! I was sitting at the bar and the bartenders were wonderful! The food was great!!

I'll start by saying the service was good. They were friendly. That was probably the best part. I know they just recently moved to the location and so the food was ok considering. The spinach and artichoke dip was our favorite part. It was different than other dips we have had and was pretty good. The chips though were ehh. Some had a crunch and others felt softer. The mushroom burger was super dry - no sauce of any kind and the bun was over toasted. My husband asked for ranch and it ended up being oddly salty. The chicken piccata was better. The chicken was super thick, and overall salty, but it wasn't bad.The kids' chicken quesadilla wasn't a big hit for my little one. It was the same chunky chicken that took a while for her to chew.

Extremely Noisy!!! I don’t every remember when this location was Salt Grass being that loud. I think they had carpet, now it’s all solid floors. They were out of brunch eggs at 11:30. ? My wife ordered the strawberry fields salad and asked our server what type of greens was in it. He indicated romaine (she likes) however it came out with all spinach (she hates)? our guests food came out cold and tasteless. I had the market breakfast and was very good. We couldn’t enjoy our conversations because of the Noise level. I realize your going through growing pains, like a new broom it really sweeps up as the crowd you had indicated. Wishing you the Best!

Open all day with almost zero customers but then closes at 830 on the 4th of July. . Great management ?? Not. .

I visited South Market while on a family vacation. We had a reservation for 6 and arrived early. Due to the size of our group we were unable to sit outside given the space but they did get us seated early, which was appreciated. The restaurant is very quaint and decorated nicely. Atmosphere: When entering the restaurant, there was a bucket catching the water from the leaking roof. It did rain significantly so assume that was a newer issue. We were seated in the back room. It had a beautiful view of the ocean! The room was VERY loud...with about half of the tables filled. It seems like they need to install some sort of noise control solution. Another family got up and moved to a different area - it was that bad. Food: The food was okay - kind of hit or miss. We ordered two appetizers - the brussel sprouts and the spinach artichoke dip. The brussel sprouts were good. For dinner I ordered the chicken piccata. It was bland and I would not order that meal again or recommend it. My sister had a salad with strawberries and chicken on it - she loved it. Drinks: I had a spicy pineapple margarita and a blackberry margarita. Both were on the sweet side - seemed like a mix with sugary syrup added. My brother in law ordered two Manhattans and they looked very different - didn't seem to be consistent. It took awhile for the drinks to come out as well. Service: I worked at various restaurants during college and after grad school and hate to be critical of servers or restaurants since I've been in their shoes. On the other end, I think it's good to know what you're getting and the service here is just mediocre at best. When entering the restaurant - there were a few workers standing there literally looking at us but no one greeted us. Maybe they were in training and didn't know what to do? A simple 'hello we'll be right with you would be sufficient.' Our server was very friendly and did check back on us frequently. We ordered two appetizers and when our server came back to check on us she noticed we did not receive them. We were later told they were delivered to an incorrect table and were told sorry. When they were eventually brought out right before our meals, another individual stopped by (I would assume a manager) to again say sorry. I thought it was strange they didn't comp the appetizers due to their mistake - seems pretty common when restaurants make a mistake. They didn't offer and did not take care of it. We were seated next to a server stand, which we leveraged frequently to get our own condiments, napkins, etc. No one else asked if we needed anything so it came in handy throughout our time. All that being said - the food was okay and the service was mediocre. I would not go here again based on those two aspects when compared to the other restaurants we tried throughout our stay.
