Kate did an exceptional job seating people and cleaning up in between since they were so short staffed. My personal waitress (Leteta) was phenomenal as well. Food was great as usual.
We had a wonderful server who stayed ahead of our needs or requests. She was top notch and on the ball. AND, of course, the food was absolutely delicious, as always. I've never eaten at Sonny's when it wasn't fresh and delicious.
I really like Sonny's and we eat there often. Today I decided to try something new & ordered the Brisket grilled cheese. The pictures show plenty of chopped brisket between the buns. Wrong! The buns were flat with two pieces of sliced cheese and what appeared to be ground brisket, not chopped. Remember the old commercial "where's the beef"? They can now redo the commercial "where's the brisket"? Terrible sandwich! Ate about half of it, the other half was all bun with cheese, no brisket so I left it uneaten. Told my waitress, she was very good, that I would not order again. Gave her a good tip since she did a good job. But I warn everyone to stay away from this disaster of a meal
We've been regulars to Sonnys all over the area for decades. As someone on a low carb diet, Ivealways ordered sliced pork, as the Sonnys sauces are all full of sugar and the best low carb option for me is the sliced pork. Traditionally, the sliced pork from Sonnys is pork collar, which has an excellent ratio of fat to lean, making the sliced pork juicy and tender. This is even featured on their website, as pork collars are a premium cut. However, whatever sliced pork I've gotten recently is anything but juicy. It's dry and tough, and doesnt have the distinct pattern of pork collar. If this is just a fluke, I'll accept this and change my review next time i visit. If this is a chainwide change, revamp the website and Ill find somewhere else to eat.
Haven't eaten at a Sonny's in many years, but it was delicious. Service was pretty good, even though they were incredibly busy (Sunday at lunch). Sides were fresh, and the sweet tea was great! Staff was obviously running full speed, but nothing was missed. Good standard for how a quality restaurant should be operated.

Food was great. Each dish ordered tasty. From baby back ribs to the sandwich. Staff was great and would not hesitate to eat hear again. Ate at other BBQ places and Sonny's was the winner
Once you find it,you'll love it! Friendly service, food was the bomb. Sides were delicious,and our sample platters of meat were enough for three meals! The topper? Two beers for the price of one.Every day. Check it out.
I have dinner at Sonny's on pine forest rd. in Pensacola Florida several times a month and I always enjoy my visit, the waitresses are amazing at making me comfortable and always have whatever I may need for my meal and my food is awesome as well and served in proper time, I give five stars and two thumbs up without hesitation!!
Good southern bbq. Curbside pickup and online ordering on a par with others that offer that service. Call in by phone upon arrival is a challenge. Waited 20 minutes on hold before my call was picked up again. Portion size is shrinking from previous orders. Not in a hurry to go back.
