The cake that was made by this bakery for my son’s wedding was disgusting! The cake was dry, with just a hint of the flavor it was supposed to be. My sister-in-law & my younger sister both ended up with a piece of either baking soda or baking powder in the 1 bite they each had. Most of the cake was thrown out, as most guests & wedding party felt the same way. My brother-in-law loves cake & had been looking forward to eating it. But once he had taken a bite, he didn’t bother with the rest. And the poor bride & groom were so upset that it was Nothing like what they had chosen! They were so embarrassed!!When my son & I were dancing the mother/groom dance, he asked me what I thought of the cake. I said at first that it wasn’t bad, because I didn’t want to hurt his feelings. Then he said, no Mom, it was horrible & awful. He & his bride were so upset! I do feel that you all owe them an apology, as well as a bit of a refund, at the least.Oh, and the cake arrived hours later than it was supposed to with texts not being answered that the bride had been sending. It also arrived crooked, & 1 of my daughters asked the lady, can you please fix that, it’s crooked. So I definitely DO NOT recommend this place! You would be much better off finding another bakery.I actually wished that I could have made their cake for them, but they didn’t want any family having to worry about food, decorating, cleanup, etc, so they wouldn’t let me.

Awful cake delivered by the owner! Would NOT RECOMMEND!Yes a refund was issued, the cake was not melted…in addition we could not trust that it was gluten free. My friends could have gotten VERY ill. My opinion stands. Would not recommend.
Horrible service! A friend of mine had a cake delivered and it was the worst looking cake I've ever seen! (my toddler probably could have done a better job.) The cake was flat, melted, global and a complete mess. It was supposed to be gluten free and baker continued to lie about ingredients etc. and is now refusing to give the refund she said she would give (in person and in front of the customer who refused the cake to her face when seeing what a disaster it was!) Not impressed! Do yourself a favor and read the negative reviews and find another bakery!

By far the worst cake I’ve ever gotten, looked nothing like what I asked. Her bakery is absolutely filthy and should be shut down. She is kind and trying but this is not it.
This locally-owned bakery is wonderful! Everything is fresh and tasty, even the gluten-free and vegan products. I have NEVER had anything from Petunia's Bakery that was not fresh and scrumptious. My tastebuds are happy, happy, happy. My waist-line, however.....
This bakery ruined my wedding! It doesn’t even deserve a star!I ordered my wedding cake and grooms cake from this bakery for my May15,2021 wedding and the cake that was delivered was not the cake I ordered! The color was wrong and the cake was so dry and hard to cut through—I mean it was like hard corn bread! During the cake cutting part of my ceremony I was so floored because I could not only believe that my wedding cake was a complete DISASTER, but my grooms cake WAS NEVER DELIVERED!I called the very next day trying to get in touch with Dana and after several failed attempts to reach her, she finally contacted me. I was appalled when her first response wasn’t an apology but rather excuses and insults to my wedding coordinator as to place blame on her - suggesting that the air dried the cake out because it was left out. The cake was inside the venue! She only offered to refund the grooms cake but never explained why it wasn’t delivered. (I’m still waiting on an explanation). She even told me that she used a different type of flavor in the cake-but that’s not what was in the cupcake and that is what I was going off of when I ordered the cake- I wanted it to be just like the cupcake. I told her that I wanted a full refund because that was absolutely ridiculous and that the cake part of my wedding day was completely ruined! And to add insult, my coordinator stated that Dana or whom ever delivered the cake attempted to place it on a dirty cake stand.Dana even told me that she bake the cake herself so she know that it wasn’t dry. (So if you baked it yourself then you had to feel how hard and dry it was when you put the icing on it!)When I demanded a refund, the she told me that she was at the vet because her dog was sick and that she didn’t know if she could refund me in full that week but could maybe do it the following week. (Your pet has absolutely nothing to do with your business and my cake). We don’t even have an edible top layer to eat on our anniversary next year! The way I see it is, that when the deposit amount was due, it was paid on time....and when the remaining balance was due, it was also paid on time. You did not deliver on your end and I still demand my refund for BOTH CAKES.My attorney has sent a demand letter and I will be taking legal action.This review is to help prevent this from happening to someone else. Avoid this place unless you want a cornbread wedding cake. Don’t use Petunias Bakery, find some place better than this.... (Publix)If I could post pictures and videos to this post, I will.
I love Petunia’s bakery! She made a carrot cake for my husband’s birthday. The flavor was great. It looked so amazing. We have no regrets buying it! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m am very disappointed in the quality and taste (or should I say tasteless) of the cupcakes, they were extremely dry and honestly Winn Dixie cupcakes are 100 times better. I usually would not leave a bad review but 4 dollars a piece they should at least be mediocre
