We went to this place a few times cause it’s close to us! Each time we went the quality of the food has gone farther down hill. We had Veggie Foo Young and Gen Tso Chicken last night. 4/27/22.Only two veggies in Foo Young (mushrooms & onions), and gravy was liquidy runny. Guess they don’t use flour to thicken!Gen Tso Chicken was real crunchy & hard to chew and most pieces were w/o chicken, just crispy dough!Whatever the fried roll was gooey inside and no meat at all!Good thing we were hungry after a long day on the water or I would have took it back!We chose this place because some of the good reviews. Not going back!
Finally a place that makes their own dumplings, and Mapo Tofu, an authentic dish. Better than the cookie cutter Chinese restaurants, and good portions.
Very good food. Well prepared and flavorful. Seasoning is just right. Generous servings. (Prices are higher than I expected but food prices have been on the rise everywhere). A couple of observations: The Moo Shu Pork does not include pancakes, at least my order didn't, but the menu states that Moo Shu Chicken does. Strange. Also, all Chinese food carryout restaurants I have patronized over the years either put packages of soy and duck sauces in the bag for you or ask you if you would like any. I do not understand why Mr. Chen offers neither. But despite these shortcomings, we enjoyed the Moo Shu Pork (delicious with white rice), Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Vegetable Lo Mein. You won't be disappointed with Mr. Chen. Just keep the above observations in mind.
Ordered 4 pork egg rolls.. received what they called pork egg rolls with what looked like 3 pieces of bacon bits with a bunch of cabbage in the egg rolls for $7 I think tf not… returned it immediately and got my money back. Won’t ever be returning they didn’t used to be like this when they first opened up. Terrible terrible place now
Nasty food ! Pensacola’s worst restaurant…Rude owner… I can go on and on , but you get the point. Don’t waste your money on this barnyard sloppy old food …
First time customer.Food was up to par. Ordered take out. They forgot the pancakes with an eight dollar moo shu chicken. Called backed when I got home. offered me double the pancakes next order lol. The cashier told me the pancakes are forgotten often. I don't know, but it's like fajitas without the tortillas...I'll give them one more try. Otherwise I'll drive the extra mile to "Uncle Jiang"Good luck!!
Whenever anyone in my house is sick we have Mr Chen's wonton soup and vegetable soup mixed. It's inexpensive and so nourishing. It always makes us feel better.
This place is great. They have good food, fair prices, and generous portion. If your going to the Walmart next door then this is a must stop on the way back home.
We absolutely love eating here. The food is always cooked to order, and they have always gotten the order right. We make it a point to eat here atleast monthly.
Good hot affordable food
