Kingfisher is always enjoyable. I really like how they make everything in house. This last trip I went with the cuban sandwich and it was really delicious. They're always doing specials that will keep you coming back just to see what they have, but the main menu items are all solid, especially the fish sandwiches, shrimp burger and seafood platters.
Have only eaten Lunch at Kingfisher but it was always delicious. Usually get Mullet or Snapper. So good. Potato Salad, slaw and greens are really good also.
You order at the register and pay, then take a seat. The mullet was flavorless, the hushpuppies were nothing special, the fried okra was whole, stringy and mostly batter. The gumbo was excellent, and the blackened shrimp were wonderful. Did not like the cheese grits. Crinkle fries were good and seasoned with a Cajun seasoning. The restaurant itself is bright and service was fine. There are plenty of interesting things on the menu and we will likely return to give the place another try. We just got the wrong things. It might have just been the time of year was not right for fresh mullet.
They have some of the best food in Pensacola. We order vegan food when we go there. They always have a lot of options for vegans. You just have to let them know while you are ordering, and they will let you know what all they have. We got the vegan Bahn Mi the last time we went, and it was the best that I have ever had! We also got their rice and bean soup and fried green tomatoes. It is wonderful every time that we go!
Went because a customer rated their burger in their top 3, and I was looking for a decent burger to eat. Staff was polite and quick. It was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Everything was homemade, the burger, bun, and even the pickled cucumbers. Will return.
My family and I are from up north and visiting this area. We make everything from scratch ourselves, so to dine in a restaurant that have the same morals and take pride in everything being made in house is refreshing! We ate here twice and was very pleased each time. Definitely would recommend!
Every time we eat here I think, why don’t we come here more often?! I’ve eaten here about five times in the last two years and it’s always guaranteed impeccable friendly service and super tasty, creative meals. We love the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the Thai salad - the peanut dressing is phenomenal. The mac and cheese is savory and creamy. The Cuban sandwich is the best we’ve ever had. If it’s on special - GO GET ONE. You can tell that EVERYTHING here : the bread the sauces the chips - is homemade and that a lot of thought went into it. Seriously such a friendly group too. We appreciate y’all and we’ll remember to get by here more often!!!
It was our first visit. It was delicious. We’ll definitely return. The oyster platter and gumbo was delicious. The homage buns and chips were also very good. Old Pensacola feel. We liked it!
Cute place, they make alot of their menu items in house including their dessert's! Try their crab cake sandwich and bang bang cauliflower! Super nice couple who owns it!
We ordered two fish platters at $15.75 each. We were not told there was an extra price for snapper, and the bill was instead, $43.50. Fries were hard as rocks. I left 7 of them on a napkin so these folks could see what they were serving. No comparison with other seafood restaurants in Pensacola. Will never return
