Not bad, but not crave-able. The pork skewer was cooked perfectly and had an amazing crisp outer layer, but was surprisingly bland. The jerk chicken was flavorful and juicy, and the yellow rice was awesome. Plantains were hit and miss, as some had too much crusting, and some not enough, but still good overall. The restaurant itself seems to be a blend of Jamaican and Puerto Rican.
We order the beef empanadas appetizers and they were excellent tasty and very fresh. The Cuban sandwich was very tasty and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
Made it to Pensacola by mistake and was recommended I check Joe’s Caribe, so I did… From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with welcoming smiles. You immediately see all the temptations of the bakery teasing you as you walk to the dining area… great sales tactic!!! The dining area is clean, also welcoming, and beautifully decorated. Everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing, but I chose to have a neat empanada as an appetizer and there’s no remorse in that! Fluffy, stuffed, hot, and flaky!!! Perfect. For lunch I had the arroz con gandules also fluffy, flavorful, and moist! Of course, I had to have maduros (Fried Plantains) that sweet to balance the savory is a MAJOR KEY as my protein Pernil, which was perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful. Joe.. you killed it! Definitely coming back!!! For my “No Español” family, you’ll be pleased to know se habla Inglés, you’re in great hands ?
Went here for dinner and it was so good! I got the special - jerk pork with tostones and rice. The restaurant was clean and the staff was super friendly. I definitely recommend checking this spot out if you're in the area.
It's been awhile that I had a Cubana sandwich. It was fresh, not much spice and the bread was perfect. Also available with sweet bread. Fries were good. Priced a bit high and all beverages are bottled. Impressed with how clean the place was and it reflected on the food served. Looks like they are geared more for to go orders. Listed as Caribbean food but limited to Puerto Rican flare.
The best food ever!!!!!!!!!
Always tastes amazing! The bakery and restaurant are great
Excellent food and fresh cooked and authentic-wonderful service and can’t wait to go back
Food was ok, I had the churrasco, meat was not what I expected. Rice was cold and the casava or yuca frita was a small portion. I paid $20 plus my jugo de guanábana, soursop fruit drink. Their customer service was good. I would recommend serving the meal a bit warm, not room temperature, and cooking the meat to order. I didn’t like the taste, tasted like liver.
This place had the most deliciously seasoned food! The empanadas were flaky where they needed to be and they did not skimp on the meats on the inside. I was able to get delicious Hispanic food and Jamaican food. The owner came out to help us personally and was so friendly! I almost forgot about the daiquiri. It was so well put together I forgot there was alcohol in it. It went perfect with our meals. I will definitely be back before I leave the area.
