We got the cheeseburger and grouper basket for dinner! My husband said the grouper was very fresh. My burger was delicious and cooked just the way I asked for it. Our server Jamie provided great service and was so adorable! Our tab was less than $60 for two dinners, one appetizer, and 4 beers - so pretty good prices!

A hidden gem!!! EXCELLENT Carribean food! They had already ran out of the meat pies but everything we ate was on point and delicious! We got blackened grouper tacos, calamari, fried plantains, and key lime pie. We will definitely be back in the future!!

The food tasted very good ... but you do not get your money's worth.. they are selling very cheap margaritas for a handmade top shelf price, margaritas there are a ripoff. The server we had was rude and lied to us. Then when polity asked to fix the issue she had an attitude that never went away.. there are better places to go then this place.

The food was delicious. We had a party of six-two adults and four children. Ordered hush puppies as an appetizer because they were out of meat pies. Grouper tacos and kids popcorn shrimp were delicious. Kids burger was a little slider, but my son said it tasted good. Hush puppies took a long time to come out, and there was two other groups there, not large groups. Food came a good while after that. We weren’t in a rush, so it wasn’t a real issue, and the waitress was great. Would definitely go back or do take out again!

Stopped on our way back to Navarre from Orange Beach, AL. A nice quiet spot to enjoy a good lunch. They have a little bit of everything. I got the Cuban Sanwich with sweet potato tots and both were delicious. Wife had the shrimp basket which I was happy to help her finish off.

Ordered the hamburger with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese. Wife had the classic american hamburger. These were cooked the way we ordered, (well done) and still very juicy and great flavor. The French fries were cooked to the point of almost over cooked. This made them crispy, but still a little greasy for us, this was the reason I didn't give five stars. Overall I would eat here again. I do know the burgers are great.

How do you like your food?Tasty, good portions, reasonably priced, friendly setting, great service?Me too! That's why I love The Islander.I had the Cuban sandwich -- pork, ham, swiss cheese -- bet you can't get anything this great in Cuba! (You can't get swiss cheese -- just the holes.) Just delicious. My wife had the grouper basket, which was excellent. Much better than the grouper we had at another local place (which will be unnamed).Terrific little place! Great Key Lime Pie, too.

Nice breezy place to eat. Music playing had a good vibe. Food delicious and friendly server. Indoor and outdoor seating. Road kinda close but still nice.

Stayed across the street, after baking in the sun and too early for dinner, I needed a snack. After reading some of the reviews on here I decided to try the Hawaiian burger. Absolutely amazing burger!!! Thick meat, 3 slices of ham, grilled pineapple ring, over easy egg and some Mayo on a toasted bun. Hands down the best burger around. However I did get some salty puny fries but I wasn’t going for the fries. Burger and fries for $13.99, absolutely worth every penny.

Great little spot. We have passed this restaurant a number of times and finally stopped to give it a try. Our food was excellent and the service quick and spot on. I enjoyed the house salad with mahi. We for sure will stop again. They even have Bushwackers.
