Ribs and Brisket was great, sides were good as well. You won't be disappointed a must eat restaurant if near Pensacola Florida.
My first time here. I ordered a brisket sandwich which came with one side. I chose macaroni and cheese with ham. The woman at the counter was friendly and the food was ready in no time at all. The sandwich was delicious and so was the macaroni, they put the sauce on the side which was very tasty as well. For $18.99 I did expect the sandwich to be bigger and to have more meat.The bun was a regular hamburger bun and there was enough meat for this size of bun. The brisket was delicious with a slight smoked flavor and melt in your mouth tender. I also thought the BBQ sauce on the side was delicious it had a slight tang to it which is how I like it. The macaroni and cheese had very little ham in it but it was still yummy. Everything was wonderful except for the size of the sandwich .I really expected more for that price.
It was yummy BBQ, but not the best I’ve had. The brisket was the most expensive and I wasn’t a huge fan of it. Also didn’t really like how sweet the bbq sauce was. And one more con, was that the corn was really over cooked. They remade it for us, but it was still overcooked to my liking, but at least edible. Pros though were the Mac & cheese, sausage, and ribs were all delicious. Also good lemonade and sweet tea. Our waitress was also really great and offered the kids coloring sheets. They do offer military discount and gave free chocolate chip cookies because it was our first time there. I haven’t tried any other BBQ places in the area yet, but I would come back here.
Got takeout here. Two meat plate to go. Gonna go back again. And again. I live far from this place but when I’m in area I stop every now and then. Fresh ingredients. Great family business.
Just had lunch at Hot Spot, my first time there. It's a small place, but well laid out. The menu is small, but they have all the BBQ staples. I had a 2-meat combo with ribs and pulled pork. It was very tasty, and a good portion. They provide a homemade sauce to use, which I used a bit of just to try it. It's pretty good, but I ate most of the meal with just the rub and smoke it came with. I had sides of potato salad, which was very good, and coleslaw, which needed vinegar. The service was fast, and attentive. The prices were reasonable too. I will be back with the family for dinner sometime. It's the best BBQ I've found in Pensacola so far.
This cozy unpretentious BBQ could joint has killer ribs brisket and chicken. We also tried several sides - the pork and beans were tangy, potato salad was Rock solid and that coleslaw on point if standard. The Brunswick stew is like barbecue in a bowl with veggies. I would have been totally happy eating a big bowl for lunch! Johnny was our server and he literally made us feel like family, answering all our questions smiling and genuinely interested in making sure we were happy... And we really were! The sausage is probably the weak link here but not because it's bad but simply because the other items are so good. Their house made barbecue sauce is also hot peppery and tangy if a bit sweet It was about 50 bucks for the two of us but we brought home lots of leftovers and enjoyed them all over again the next day! Come hungry you won't regret stopping here!

The smoke ring on the ribs was a work of art. If you are a true culinary ninja and can appreciate the fine art of smoked food, you HAVE to try Hot Spot. I would posy a pic of the food but it was decimated....

Great BBQ place, but more than that, outstanding food and customer service! From the BBQ meats to sides and pies, hands down one of the best experiences we’ve had in Pensacola! Audie was the best server we’ve ever experienced! Will continue to be on our regulars list from now on!! Just awesome!
Great customer service. We saw them smoking meat outside we did a U-turn in the middle of the road to take some of their meat. when we walked in The woman who worked there gave us a free cookie in a bite of free pie. It was great freaking pie. Her customer service skills are so good we ended up buying a slice of pie and we don’t even like pie but we liked their pie. The meat was really good.
