I was craving a corndog and was looking at Pensacola Foodies on fb for better corndog than the boxed ones and saw this place sells them. Never would've thought. Always saw this place driving by but never tried it. When I finally was able to come order since they recently just opened late, I wanted to try other menu items. I did look at reviews to ck what is good. Not sure why they didn't have country fried steak dinner but they had the sandwich so I had to replace with Philly cheese steak which was really good if only it had a bit more filling in it. Also tried their chili fries because a reviewer said it was good for me it was ok. A bit salty and I did have them separate the fries from chili so it doesn't get soggy but I still had to airfry the fries to get it on the crunchy side. Onion rings were very delicious, crunchy and great batter flavor although if my husband didn't check, he would've came home without them!!! Always ck your to go orders! They had to make it on the spot. Definitely recommend their corndog! It was crunchy and wow on the flavor of the honey batter!!! Will definitely come back to try the country fried steak and get the corndog again!
You can not beat Grover’s !! My personal favorite is the Fried hamburger. But you cannot go wrong with this all American side of the road treasure. No matter what time of day you will always find great food great smiles and a good time at an even greater Value
There's some magic happening here! Sure, you think it's just any ol' chicken finger place, but you know those tough tenders that you really have to bite into? Not to be found here! These tenders are so tender they break apart in your hands ready to be dipped into ranch or gravy! Also you know those standard regular cut french fries that almost every diner or fast casual restaurant has? Well clearly this place uses them just like everyone else, but they come out perfect! Just the right amount of crispy on the outside, with a slight chew on the inside. I've had many of these fries that all come from the same supplier, but again, whatever they do here is magic.Oh, and the batter on the chicken and onion rings is perfectly crispy and craggly and delicious. This is the batter/breading you'd want on a chicken/country fried steak! Which is exactly what I want to try next time knowing how these came out!And by the way, the portions are huge. I got a small order of onion rings and it was MASSIVE!
Food was ok but there was a lot of it. Prices decent. A side came out cold but they replaced quickly. Need more staff - the couple they had were hard pressed. Sign about gun rights (see photo). Outside roof soffit has some water damage and a piece looked like it was going to fall on a picnic table below it
Solid burger, not the best in Pensacola, but decent. Star of the show was the chili sauce on the chili/cheese fries. Only suggestion with them would be to double fry the fries so they hold up better under the chili. Overall good food, decent price, and fast friendly service.
I absolutely love Grover’s. My boyfriend and I love eating here because they put a lot of care into your order, it’s hands down my favourite restaurant in Pensacola. From the incredibly friendly staff, to them serving seriously some of the best food, to the overall atmosphere, there’s no place like Grover’s. If you’re in Pensacola give them a a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
Friendly staff, decent food but a little greasy. I had the biscuit and gravy meal with eggs, hash browns and bacon. Not cheap. We would come back to try their lunch items.
Seems like we've come to Grover's for breakfast more than anything else, but I've also picked up to-go wings a few times and they've always been big, cooked well and with good sauces. As for the breakfast, it's cooked to order. We like that the base gravy doesn't include pork because my wife can't eat it. That's not very common, so it's one of the few places she can enjoy biscuits and gravy. This last time we got the hash browns with griddled onions and cheese and they were really good.
Horrible. Horrible. Now I can't have wings anywhere else. All the big wing places I used to love to go.. now I can't go there anymore. Every time I get wings from somewhere else, it gets me thinking about Grover's. Well I guess I'm stuck with Gorver's for wings now.
Terrible service. Sarcastic employees. The place doesn’t look sanitary. Owner/manager needs to take and make his employees take customer service classes. It is surprising that they are still open!
