I have lived in Pensacola for year and never have I been here. Few times I attempted to the restaurant, I am reminded the place needs reservations. Today was my lucky day!! We had our niece's birthday there. I was so excited to try this place. Megan was our waitress and was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the menu.I honestly have no clue what the name of my dish was, but I described what I was wanting and the custom made my pasta. Rigatoni with spicy Alfredo with garlicky flavor and added red sauce. Flavor was delicious and the spicy was phenomenal. Salads were delicious.DO NOT go eat here if you are in a rush!! Bonelli's is meant to be experienced for the entire evening....pace yourself with the bread because you will not be able to finish the food. Portions are huge!!I would highly recommend this place and does not hurt to ask...if they have the time, it seems like they can make any magic happen. Can not wait to try this place again!
Do NOT eat here if you are in a hurry, want to gulp down a meal and run; you're wasting the restaurant's superb efforts and your money. This is a meal to be savored and enjoyed - and "made from scratch" and "to order" take time - they can't be hurried. The food is fabulous. The service was awesome. A wonderful place to dine if you want really, really good Italian food that isn't microwaved or prepackaged - but prepared for you with attention and service. I highly recommend.
Wonderful family owned and operated Italian restaurant. We made last minute reservations and we’re pleased we were able to get a table at this much in demand restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered Eggplant Parmigiana and Chicken Parmigiana and side Greek salads, all of which were terrific. As this was our first time dining at Bonelli’s we will definitely return.
You will not find better Italian food in the panhandle than here. Every detail is perfect. Highly recommend the ravioli but everything is good. Reservations are a must.
Tyler P rocks!!!The food is delightful! It is so much food!!!The food is amazing, fresh and A MUST TRY!Slownellis is what they call themselves but that's the price you gotta pay for fresh Italian food made to perfection! And the wait time is absolutely worth it. Don't let the outside of the building fool youOk so.... this is an edit after 5 days! Yes we loved it so much that we had to go back that soon.. But this time we were left truly disappointed.... The Coke was flat.... After 3 tries the waitress finally got it right.... My specialty ravioli was good .... but the pesto with parmasan was COLD . And the garlic sause angel hair pasta was cold and mushy. The chocolate cake was good but this visit was very disappointing. ?Went from a 5 star to a 3 star!!!
This place is amazing. The staff is so friendly, and the whole place is family owned and operated. Would definitely recommend anyone to go here. They also have vegan and gluten free options. Call ahead and make a reservation though or you may not get a table because it's always packed.
On the menu they call themselves “slownellies” Atleast they own it, but it did take a long time to get everything. The waitress was awesome and personable but the food is too heavy and tastes like it was cooked in a microwave. I also got food poisoning from it the next day.
An incredible family-owned & ran gem worthy of your visit. Tyler, our server, did an incredible job familiarizing us with the restaurant's specialties (the vodka sauce ravioli and Korean ribeye were phenomenal), idiosyncrasies (wine in a coffee mug, homemade Italian cello, massive portions), and familiarity (the brothers that run and cook come out and talk to every table). After an outstanding dinner in the small inside area we were given a tour of the back outside seating and the "B" side, a renovated 1928 bungalow with a separate bar and two themed rooms, one for movies and another for classic movies. While spendy, Tuesday nights are half-off beers and Wednesday nights are half-off wines which helps take a small bite off of the bill.Reservations (request the B-side!) are virtually a must given the smaller seating areas and popularity.
Bonelli’s was the place of choice for our company Xmas party of 60. The entire staff was just awesome! I would highly recommend them for a stress free group function. Great food as always in a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful surroundings. They are simply the best. Thank you for making our event such a memorable one!
Food was not so great. Considering we (2 people) only had pasta, a side salad and sweet teas it was overpriced too. The total was right at $70 (without tip). I don't mind food being expensive if it is exceptional but it wasn't. The pasta sauce was way too garlicky and the sauce was too thick and textured. It was better the first time we ate here so it could have been a bad night for the taste of the food. I thought the food was much better the first time we came here. We may come back but it will be a long time before we try it again.
