Took a chance and stopped by here for lunch last week and was so impressed, I came back the next day! I've tried several Asian fusion type restaurants over the years, but hands down this has been the best! I ordered a few appetizers both times to share and loved every single one! They were out of the Thai spring rolls both times, so I'm looking forward to trying those in the future! For my main course, I had the Hawaiian Bao Buns which I was nervous to try, but wow... They were amazing! We also had drinks and desserts and everything was delicious! There was thought out into the presentation of each item as well, so it feels like upscale dining without the higher price tag and with a casual atmosphere. Definitely a new favorite spot downtown!
The place was like a hidden gem. Overall, the food was so delicious! There’re shareable dishes that made it easy to order and taste a little bit of everything. Nice and fast service. It’d be more tasty if the duck was less salty and ramen got more seasoning and had more meat My pork ramen had only 2 pieces, kind of small portion compared to the amount of noodles in the bowl. I’d recommend this restaurant, fair price with good and enough dishes ?
We absolutely loved 86 Forks Bar + Table! We’re from out of town and needed a break from the beachy fried seafood. We also love Japanese style food. This place was a winner. The cocktails were delicious (I had the Zen Blossom and the Guava Mint Mule). They also have a good selection of Japanese beer (my fiancé had the Orion). For food we did the veggie spring rolls, lobster rangoon, chicken skewers, fried veggie skewers, cheeseburger impossible bao, chashu pork bao, duck bao and the shrimp rice noodle bowl. It was all amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend the lobster rangoon- cooked perfectly and the orange marmalade sauce was killer. Definitely try the different bao types too!Our waiter Jed(i) was FANTASTIC. He walked us through the menu and made great recommendations. He (and the whole staff) were really accommodating of my dietary needs (peanut allergy and pescatarian). It was great getting to talk to him and he made our dinner super fun! He also gave us ideas of other places to go in Pensacola, which was so nice.
My boyfriend and I got the duck fries, pork Ramen, chicken Ramen, and two of their specialty mixed drinks. The food was well portioned and so yummy! I got the zen blossom and it was delicious! Now if you are looking g for traditional Asian cuisine, just don't go. This is americanized Asian cuisine, I knew this going in and have to say that the food met/exceeded my expectations. I do recommend that you make a reservation though, they are small and busy, or be prepared to sit at the chef or bar seating.Update: went back again and this time got photos! We tried the seared brussel sprouts, duck bao bun and I got the chicken Ramen bowl again. We got the zen blossom, black thai affair, and southern old fashioned. Still get an A+ from me!
Wow! The service and food was great at 86 Forks Bar & Table! If you’re close to it, don’t skip it!!! Megan was super friendly and quick to get all of our ordered items out. Thanks for having us!
We had a great experience at 86 Forks! Our first visit for my husbands 40th birthday! Our server , Abby, took good care of us and the food was a flavor bomb!! We'll be back!
Nice Asian fusion spot we found to grab a bite to eat before getting drinks. We ate outside. Waitress was nice but not very helpful. Food tasted pretty good. We had the brussel sprouts, braised ribs and chicken skewers.
amazing! I tried this place for my birthday and loved it. the owner was really nice & all of the food was great. my favorites were the tofu ramen bowl & the vegan pineapple dessert!
Such a nice little fusion restaurant hidden away in a walkway of shops at the beginning of Palafox across from The Wine Bar. I recommend this place to a lot of my friends as I’ve always had a good experience, and I love that it’s woman owned! The space is quite small but comfy and I love that they are open till midnight on weekends. It has a very speakeasy, upper class hole in the wall vibe. My first try of 86 Forks my boyfriend and I both ordered ramen bowls I got the shrimp and he got the beef. The bowls looked and tasted great. As far as flavor, mine was hearty and I added chili and siracha which made it absolutely perfect and it was almost too much for me to finish, my boyfriend’s was more bland than mine but the beef was very good quality and well cooked. I’d say their ramen certainly won’t be the best you’ll ever have, but for the area I’d say it’s pretty strong, I definitely preferred the shrimp bowl’s flavor over the beef. Since my first experience I’ve promoted 86 Forks primarily as they are one of few Asian fusion restaurants that serve bao buns, which is traditionally Chinese with an Asian American twist. Their bao buns have become my favorite little treat. The Yum Yum is the best! Would recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried bao like this before especially for a light but filling lunch. Would highly recommend their cocktails too as they’re always a nice little treat whenever I visit at night.
After stopping for the beef and cabbage egg roll on the @savillesavoriesfoodtour, my friend and I returned a few days later for their happy hour. Their speciality cocktails sounded great... and were! We had a round of Fennel Destination & Limes Up, then Zen blossom & hulu dancer and split some bao buns. The Chinese sausage were especially delicious. Discounts on drinks and some food items during HH.
