I hate to leave negative reviews on a business but I had such an awful experience. I ordered takeout and it was the same thing for both me and my girlfriend; Thai red curry and a side of 2 spring rolls. I was told it would be a 30 minute wait which was understable being that it was a Saturday night. I arrived there about 40 minutes after I called and ordered and was running behind. After paying I waited an additional 45 minutes! There was another customer who experienced the same thing before me. The kicker is, there were only 2 tables sat and they were already eating so I could not find any justification for an hour and a half wait for 2 orders of food. Also the food was pretty bland and there are much better Thai restaurants, I guess this is what I get for trying new places.
I don’t know how anybody can say this food can be authentic or good at best I went there for my brother-in-law‘s birthday the only thing good about it was the cake that we brought . this place has been there for over for 20 years from what I hear, but the current owners I’ve only owned it for two months, I’ll give it to them that they work hard but the food had no Authentic taste the chicken was dry and they loaded up with sugar in the sauce. My daughter could eat the chicken with rice we had to go next-door after we’re done there to the Colombian restaurant which smelled amazing and she ate everything that we bought her. I give them two stars just because of the hard work that I know it takes to work in a restaurant but that’s it.
Excellent, in the way of Thai cusine. Fresh ingredients, serious levels of spice and several variations of classic Thai dishes. Thai world maintains authenticity compared to what I have experinced locally. However, one needs to pay attention to details when ordering/receiving and it will set you back as Thai cusine has exploded in price! Still, I have much respect for them as the restaurant has been there for as long as I can remember and it serves quality food.
I’ve been going to Thai World for about 17 or 18 years. I’ve always loved it. They must have recently changed their chef or started cutting serious corners because it’s a very noticeable difference in the taste and the quantity of the food. Their house thai salad used to come with a delicious peanut dressing and fried wontons on top. The last two instances where I’ve ordered this salad the peanut slop is absolutely inedible, portion is noticeably less and the fried wontons are now the pik-nik potato sticks that you get at the grocery store. It’s a horrible change and it needs to get better soon or I’ll have to start ordering from another Thai place unfortunately.
Worse and cheapest Tom Yum TallyNothing authentic or gourmet. I paid extra for seafood and got 1 shrimp and 1 scallop. The mushrooms aren't the traditional Asian mushrooms but cheap white mushrooms. The fried rice was watery and white
Went here for dinner. Walked in and walked out. The restaurant was very dirty, two kids were jumping up & down and running on the bench seats. The bathroom was dirty and menus on the table was filthy. I wanted to call the health department that's how bad this restaurant was.
Excellent service and food. Very clean, cute and relaxed location. Great 1st experience, will be back for sure!
I am writing this review while finishing up my delicious Basil Chicken at lunch time. The accompanied soup is good as well. The business is family owned and I plan to visit often.
Was a total fan of Amazing Thai BEFORE the fire. I’ve been looking or a new Thai restaurant since. Thai World is NOT it!! Ordered Massiman advertised with fresh avocado and cashews. Not only did I NOT get any avocado but instead of cashews they threw in a few peanuts. Luckily my child did not try my meal or we would have had a serious problem. Did not credit me for no avocado nor cashews. It was not a success. Will not be trying them again. Sorry, just being honest.
I've been going here on and off for as long as I can remember. While I haven't been able to sit physically in the store recently (because of precarious events), I've still been eating these incredible meals through pick up. The sweet and sour chicken, pad Thai, and spring rolls (my personal favorites) are to die for. The waiters are very sweet and understanding, and there's such a wonderful homey atmosphere. Every time I crave some kind of food, it's always been food from Thai World Gourmet Restaurant!
