Sheik is good people good but check out is a mess too slow Also they take too long to restock Bertie’s pepper and the Green Alcolada

The staff was not receptive upon entering the restaurant. I told the waitress, I had never been to this establishment before. She was not very helpful in answering my questions about the menu. It appeared no one wanted to be there. Once I told her what I wanted she then tried to get me to purchase individual items instead of buying the Specials. The food was good and next time I will select my food prior to going to restaurant.

Unfortunately, today is my last day coming to this place for food. The people work here are very nice. The food is excellent. The cost of the food is reasonable. However, the checkout process at the cash register is a mess sometimes. I have come here regularly and once the cash register was not working. And today I gave my credit card and the employee didn’t know whether it charged me or not and the computer kept saying it’s a Cash transaction. Then I was told I should call my credit card company. And the thing is I just don’t have the time to call my credit card company, I am a Frontline worker. I just want to come have hot food, pay for it, enjoy the food, and not have to worry about my charges. I’m giving five stars because the people are nice and the food is good, but I am not returning. It was the last straw today, and the way the employee handled it I didn’t like it.

Sheiks has been around for several years now and I'm glad it's still standing. The lunch specials are unbeatable - although if you are on a timed lunch scenario perhaps order ahead or go elsewhere, this is a loosely leisure lunch location meaning you'll be spending quite some time here between waiting to order and getting your food and perhaps even waiting for a table (snag a table and have one person go up to order to secure a spot)The doubles are delicious - although they have gotten skimp with filling and the sauces inside are only dabbed in center instead of drizzled over the chickpeas so you taste throughout all bites. The lamb biriyani was the least favorite of our orders this time around - the lamb was flavorful but a bit dry and the kids didn't enjoy fighting the meat off the bones. The roti bread itself is ALWAYS on point and a definite must to order a few to go.The lunch roti specials are just right - one of my kids had the chicken and highly enjoyed it.I always get the vegetable roti - they ran out of potatoes and they where highly missed in the wrap, wish they would offered to have substituted another veggie for the lack of potatoes. The goat roti was also very delicious and highly enjoyable. They were our of local made drinks which was a bummer since all the other options where sugary commercial drinks.Oh do try the house habanero sauce. If you can spare the time, definitely give Sheiks a try, possibly the yummiest West Indian food in Pines. The best recommendation I can share with the management is that the customer service can definitely improve (you can absolutely see preferential treatment towards the West Indian & Caribbean folks over others) - if someone not of aforementioned ethnic groups choose to bless your establishment by spending money there they should definitely get same treatment and food portions.

I visited this restaurant quite often for lunch break (2 years ago). The food is DELICIOUS but the service and their routine is HORRIBLE. On many occasions, I’ve had issues going here, from calling ahead and my food not being ready, to waiting FOREVER in line.Google just notified me to give this place a review, so I’m reviewing from my experiences two years ago because I stopped patronizing that place…. I started going to the restaurant next door to them.

Really good food if you're looking for authentic guyanese food. The boneless chicken curry and dhal puri is excellent. Very big and soft roti and dhal puri. Good bread and pastries. Curry is very flavorful.

Never had the opportunity to try the food. I called an order in and when I arrived I was told the meals were still cooking. I called the order in 2 hours before I arrived. To that point they asked for some patience and I was very eager to try them out. I left and came back an hour after that and they still had no food ready or they just have given my order to someone else. The staff appeared to be confused and completely unorganized. Won’t be going back.

Their Roti is phenomenal. I get the veggie roti and it's jam packed with healthy and delicious foods.

Amazing place, amazing food, but unfortunately there's always a long line to get order food. Probably because the food is amazing though. If the service could go faster then this place would be one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. My favorite pastry is their custurd. I absolutely love their custard.

Food is delicious but the service is rude and the line order is confusing. I’ve been here on several occasions where i placed an order over the phone and waited in line to receive my order i called for over the phone and was skipped by someone who placed an order as well but went directly up to the pre-order and was helped right away with their order. Then i came another time walked up to the same window as i seen someone previously do and was skipped by someone who came in way behind me to be told i needed to wait in line but i was the only person here for about 10min. The lady who helped the customer behind me looked at me crazy when i told her did i have to ask to be helped and honestly it made me feel very uncomfortable to a point where i almost cried.
