It is an experience that if you're used to the other restaurant that cooks at your table restaurant you will enjoy Nami Japanese restaurant at a lower price and it is the same technique the same way they prepare your food. The soup was great! I wish I could have had two bowls! Lol I would highly recommend you give Nami Japanese restaurant a shot! You'll never go to the other one again! Lol!
Ordered hibachi chicken and steak with fried rice if you think you are getting Benihana or Japan Inn quality of food your not, rice was cooked and they put some orange cooking powder it was not fried rice. Chicken was ok overall honestly don’t waste your money
Great local spot, went recently on a Friday nite and was able to get on the hibachi table right away, not too busy. The chefs are great, funny and entertaining. The prices are not that bad either, it was a great night out with the wife. Recommend it and also have some interesting cocktail choices! I had the lobster and steak and well gotta say it was surely worth it. I do recommend this hidden spot in Pembroke Pines, surely much less crowded than the big chain hibachi places.
The older guy who is the host who answers the phone is EXTREMELY rude. I’m not sure if he was having a bad day, but that is not proper customer service. I called to inquire about the wait time and he asks “How many people?” Then harshly says “Come” then he abruptly hangs up the phone before I can even ask the next question. So I called back and inquired again about the menu. And his response was “Look at the menu. Look at the menu.” What are you confused about?” Very aggressively.I was apprehensive not to go after the encounter over the phone, but I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Upon arrival, I was disappointed by the chefs behavior and lack of enthusiasm. A woman came with her family to celebrate her daughters birthday. She let the chef know that she was extremely allergic to shellfish and he continued to cross contaminate all the food. He even put two shrimp on her plate after being told multiple times about her severe allergy. Even afterwards he got extremely upset with his coworkers and the customer and began to scream out throughout the restaurant. He told the customer that she should’ve said something the waiter. The customer began to apologize even after she had told him multiple times about the allergy. No customer should have to apologize for a allergy that they cannot control. The staff never apologized once to her for the mistake. The food is edible, but isn’t that great. You’re better off going to Benihana’s for $10 extra.
I didn't like the food very much. Maybe because I didn't sit around the table where they cook in front of you. I usually like the Hibachi rice but I really didn't like it. I've had better..
I have been to Nami before but not for a long time. I went there for lunch with my friend. The waiter was very pleasant, and answered our questions with no problem. We chatted until the food came, and we're pleasantly surprised when we saw the food because it looked really good, and it was really good, excellent, in fact. Towards the end of our visit I noticed some dust on the floor which I pointed out to my friend. Then we started looking around and realized that the whole restaurant was really dirty. We won't be going back.
Place needs a little update, food was great. Service was not like we expected. Overall was good.
Nami is always good. We have gone for lunch and dinner and we are always satisfied. The service is quick and the staff are very friendly. The lychee martinis are a must.
Food is good depending on the chef you get. My husband and I spot when we have a taste for hibachi. The price is good for the amount of food they give. I prefer them over Benihana anytime ?.
I really wish my experience here would’ve been better. I came in with high expectations but was greeted with confusion and poor service. They didn’t ask me if I wanted hibachi or dine in and our group of 12 was waiting impatiently. After finally getting to the table they said we couldn’t share unless we pay $7.00. Definitely not coming back.
