I had a late dinner last night and everything was good! The only thing I would say that made me unsettled the more I think about is the young lady at the front. On entry she immediately spoke to me in spanish- when I informed, "I'm so sorry I don't understand spanish" she kept in the same refrain until I informed again and then she began speaking in perfect english. On exiting the restaurant she asked me how was everything and responded, "it was very good, thanks so much." She responds by slightly snapping her fingers, switches neck (in the stereotypical ghetto motion) and says, "thank you girl." My BF and I looked at each other saying, "what was that about." This was a disgusting display. On my next visit- should I decide- I will be sure to take my FLORIDA BAR CARD... smh. Maybe showing I'm an attorney would garner more respect. There was nothing in my countenance, attire and speech that would warrant such a vile display. I'm sure I was not the first woman of color to enter the restaurant and I'm certain I will not be the last.
Love the service, love the food it was simply amazingI had a burratina and pasta my wife and I love itMy only caviat was that service is included, we always tip more but I felt forcedWhich make me think what kind of clientele they have....
The food and dessert at La Strega Cucina is delicious. I order a glass of sangria that was great. Our server Valentina was very attentive. She made sure we were happy with our meal. This restaurant is a hidden gem. You must come and try their food.
The staff other than the server spoke little English. they were not even Italian - Anyway, the food was just OK - On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being best - I give them a 7. What really bothered me........they add a 18% gratuity, and the server does not tell this to the customers and there is no signage posted. RIPOFF??? If large parties I could understand, but we were 4 people, and they do this even if you're a single person dining alone. I wonder how many people tip twice?? HMMM RIPOFF! - Should be illegal. SHAME ON THIS PLACE!
Around Pemproke we stop to eat in this restaurant and the food was ok, service excelente by Valentina, this is a no place to eat a Risotto, appetizer amazing main dish just ok, dessert very decent, But ambience, place and services in general was good
my first time at this spectacular decorated restaurant just walking in you feel the elegance peaceful and romantic atmosphere excellent service ? best fish filled I had ever eat!?
I had a bad experience just vecause of the change in the menu for Mother's day and no one communicated that to us when we did the reservation,Food was good but was very limited on the choices, specially for people that are very picky eaters on my party.
Absolutely delicious! We found this place googling new restaurants, we are so lucky to have found this place. The food is so fresh and amazing! Every single thing we ordered was to die for. The desserts, we are absolutely coming back and trying every single one. Stefany was our server, we couldn’t have asked for better attention. She was so sweet and her recommendations were spot on.
Ambience in general is beautiful but the music on a Friday night is so loud that my husband and I couldn't even hear each other. The food presentation is lovely and the server was delightful. But for the price, the food is mediocre at best. We stopped coming years ago because they weren't consistent with their food. New management seems to be trying hard but it's still just mediocre and way too loud and too expensive.
This was the second time in the past few weeks we have supped at La Strega. It is such a wonderful change of pace. Very good and reasonably-priced food, but with old-fashioned touches, like crisp white table cloths and flowers, and relaxing, live background music. No better way or place to unwind on a Friday night. We’ll be back, for sure.
