11:10 am. Brunch time (or the start of lunch time), at La Granja. The hubby & I ordered the seafood sampler (which included ceviche and fried shrimp, fish & calamari), 1/4 chicken w/rice & beans and the LUNCH sized steak bowl. I was told, at 11:10 am that they didn't have any lunch sized bowls?! Really?! Lunch sized orders are on the menu board & it's lunch time. Ugh! In order 2get that dish, I had 2order it in a SUPER sized bowl. Wow! Apparently, they had lots of those. I hate a BAIT & SWITCH. Come in 4the lunch size bowl & then poof, the script's been switched & ur spending more $ than u wanted (again, gotta love a doggie bag). Why can't they just fill a super sized bowl 1/2 way? But fine. super size it. There was a lot of food on the table. Thank goodness 4doggie bags. Problems: the fish was fried too damned hard; the ceviche was ok; & both the calamari & shrimp were tasty enough. Who doesn't like fried foods but...the food was WARM (damn near cold), not HOT!!!!! Listen up cooks and servers! FOOD SHOULD BE DELIVERED HOT unless of course, it's ceviche & the like. Dammit!
The customer service decreased so much this last past month.I used to go every Thursday for a pollo. Every week a long line, they take a lot of time to give you the food and they make mistakes on the order.Today I ordered 1/2 pollo, potatoes and rice and they gave me plátanos maduros and frijoles.I would like to go back and change it but my house is 20 minutes away ?
I visited Saturday 5 star service and food was on point! Went back Sunday because my daughter request the same thing for dinner. I switched up to chicken platter and everything was on the platter was dry and over cooked..even the yuca. I won't order it again. But I will be returning because at the location is so nice.
Surprised at the potions and taste. This was my second time is 7 years and I was totally surprised with this place and the food. Happy I gave it a second chance.. sometimes we need to revisit places and re explore. Glad I gave it a second chance.
Had a steak sandwich which had no taste and the meat was grisly, french fries were soggy and over priced. Malta was warm. Never go there again.
I mean anytime I'm in town this is where I eat! Their Customer Service is great and the food is very good too!!
I have been going to the restaurant for 5 days in a row, the quality of the food has not been changed always good?, I usually ordered a half chicken and side of fries this cost me $10,80. They have something called special number 3, which is a half chicken, rice, beans, grilled banana, and drink. This cost around $11 which is a bargain priceI recommend it to anyone
My family and i usually have la Granja on the weekends and we’re super disappointed with our order. We’ve been ordering sauté chicken for a while and when we came home today, we had a one person dinner. That dinner was $13 and the amount was literally cut in half (forgot to take a pic). We had to go back out and purchase extra food for the rest of the family.
