This is going to be the shortest review I have ever written. Probably because there’s nothingpositive to say about this restaurant. The service was extremely slow, we had to ask for water twice! We ordered fried shrimp rice, fried crab rangoon, gyozas, and “roasted pork” overall the food was tasteless, greasy, and not fresh! We all got food poisoning after the meal!China Pavilion has a lot of reviews mainly for their dim sum but after this experience, I seriously doubt I would try it again. If you are looking to try this place, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Don't even think about it! Only one star because the place was clean
The dim sum dishes are authentic, delicious with generous portion. I usually order six items so I can have a variety of tidbits. The rest I take home. The place reaches full capacity within one hour from opening so if you can’t get there on opening then go later to avoid the crowds. My favorites are shown in photos. Service is prompt and dim sum is very good, top quality.
FYI first time eating from here. I chose carry out. At pick up the cashier never even made eye contact however somehow she knew I was there. I paid and waited, no one even told me my food was sitting on a table just feet away. Good: egg roll didn’t look like much however was crunchy and the flavor was nice. Ordered the Orange peal chicken combo. Even with the breading and sauce the meat was tough. The portion was small and I still opted to throw half away. The chicken was def re-purposed after dying on a junior high school cafeteria steam table somewhere. Wanton soup: 1/2 cup of soup if that, well that’s all there is to say about the soup. Gave 2 stars because it was only 1 1/2 miles away so at least I didn’t have to drive far for.. well .. “this”
Had a really bad dining experience. We were in the area and wanted Chinese, I remember this place from years ago. We had to send 3 things back!Chicken wings were so overly friend it was all breading, no chicken. The egg roll was so so greasy and overly fried as well.Asked for the broccoli to be well done it came out not even cooked and cold. The only thing that was good was the friend rice, not much you can do wrong there. The wait staff was so unfriendly in top of it. There were little ants/bugs crawling on our table and booth. The place was very grimy and just gross, will not be back .
They have very authentic cantonese breakfast and Dim Sum! The steam rice noodle roll is a must try in this type of restaurants!
The best and most authentic Chinese (Cantonese) restaurant in South Florida. The dim sum was simply delicious, the food is exactly the same I used to eat when I lived in Hong Kong. Please don’t for one second believe the bad reviews the Karen’s of the world are leaving, if you want fake Chinese food go to Panda Express. If you are game for authentic South East Asian food, then this is the place to go. Also, the weekend Dim Sun fare is worth the hike from Miami!!!
Like most places, staffing is an issue, the prices have increased and quality has gone down. The dim sum has always been the best part about this place (sadly they don't offer dim sum after 4pm anymore) as their Chinese food is very americanize and just mediocre. I really kept on trying to like this place but I guess we'll keep searching for the go to place.
This place is both delicious and reasonably priced. You get a picture and a regular menu which is very helpful if you’re new to dim sum. Go early otherwise there’s a wait.
Nice place. We went as a party of 6 for a get together with friends from out of town. First time we all had been. Everything was good and authentic. They were very busy so service was a little slow but we understood that and still had a good time and meal. Highly recommend the sweet bean paste buns.
Delicious! Very busy but service was super fast.
