Quick trip in Panama City and was highly impressed with the quick service, cleanliness, and staff. Right now it is difficult with staffing but they were all professional, hard working and very kind. We spoke with the manager to let him know how great our experience was and he stated they recently began managing this location a few months ago. Can't say enough great things, if we ever return to Panama City we will be stopping back!
I love Steak and Shake and was so excited to have one open in Panama City, but since their opening they cannot get their act together. Turn over in management and staff is very evident, the restaurant is never clean. Today's visit was worse than usual. Upon arriving there was a note on the door that they were apparently closed as there was a family heading back to their car as we were just getting ready to head to the door. A young man, possibly the manager, came and opened the door and said they were open. Upon entering there was a young lady trying to log into the register but the manager had to come help her with that then he left her to do something else. The family ordered and then it was finally our turn, the cashier obviously was left there with little to no training as she rang our order up wrong, the manager had to come straighten that out. Then our order was put in wrong so it came out wrong. We managed to combine our sandwiches into one so my husband could eat but I didn't eat my food as it was wrong and I wasn't about to confuse the girl anymore than I had already done. It wasn't her fault she wasn't trained. This will be my last visit to that location, I am done. If I could leave a zero I would.
Love the older guy owner! So nice and kind. Many nice workers here except one brunette “manager lady.” She’s very unkind and gets frustrated anytime she sees our family. Have to leave review as other employees are A plus. If we see this manager there we don’t stop there as locals now. Not worth the rudeness we get treated. So sad she’s still employed. Hopefully more complaints will get her out of there and more locals will stay and can enjoy the restaurant. We love you Steak N shake regardless of this manager but I can no longer deal. As for the rest of employees and older guy owner keep doing what you do!
Steak 'n Shake is definitely 1 of my all time favorite burger joints!! Love the style of the restaurant and the employees at the Panama City FL 23rd st location are always prompt, nice And helpful!! Great prices and huge yummy burgers!!!!! ✌️♥️ ?????
Drive-thru was quick. The garlic butter hamburger and fries I ordered were hot and well made.I was caught off guard by the paper straw that made my shake taste super weird. That was very disappointing since it was a very hot day and my family and i mainly stopped for the cold shakes we hadn't had in quite a while. The straws do not hold up well. Is there an option to get a regular straw or are these the only option now?
FIRST OFF I WENT THRU THE DRIVE THRU && THEY TOOK 15 MINS TO TAKE MY ORDER THEN I ASK FOR BBQ SAUCE WE PARK TAKE OUT OUR FOOD AND NO BBQ SAYCE NO PROBLEM I GO INSIDE FOR IT AN SHE OV LOOKED ME 10 DIFF TIMES THEN SOME MANAGER THAT WAS SITTIN DOWN HAD TO GET OUT HIS SEAT TO GET ME BBQ SAUCE THEN THATS WHEN SHE WANTED TO BUT IN AN SAY ITS 0.55” OK NO PROBLEM I GO BACK OUTSIDE TO GET MY WALLET COME BACK IN AN SHE CONTINUES TO TAKE PEOPLE ORDERS AFTER ME I SAY DANG THESE PEOPLE WERE AFTER ME SHE SAYS YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE A ATTITUDE ABOUT IT I THEN SAID IM JUST TRYING TO GET MY BBQ SAUCE I HAD TO COME IN EVEN THO I WENT THRU THE DRIVE THRU SHE SAYS YOU CAN LEAVE LIKE LOL WHAT BUT TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT THIS LADY IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SHES SUPPOSED TO BE A “ MANAGER “ HOW UNPROFESSIONAL THANKS FOR THE REAL MANAGER THAT CAME OUT N GAVE ME FRESH FRIES THAT WAS VERY KIND BUT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
The only reason I gave 3 star's was because of the girl in the drive thru. She was super sweet and helpful. The burger tasted good, but super thin(about as big as a McDonald's small burger)I didn't order a small burger. The onion rings were absolutely nasty they were so soggy we couldn't even eat them. That is where quality control should come into play. I may give them another chance .
Went through the drive through for 2 separate orders. Waited in line for close to 15 minutes only to be given the wrong order. After another 15 minutes wait at the window we got the correct food. The window was quickly closed before I could get out of my mouth that we still needed the drinks we purchased. The food wasn't bad, but the service was horrible. Don't go through the drive through if you're in a hurry
I wish I would've tried this place before. Greatest hidden treasure. I never noticed it before hidden a bit behind Best buy, but the burgers are incredible, the shakes are awesome. Hard working employees, and great service. ?
