This has been our go to Mexican restaurant in Panama City for several years. Today was a huge letdown. My shredded chicken taco salad was decent, but when we tried to order two hard tacos, the problems started. We were told we could only get three tacos. I mentioned that we always get two shredded chicken tacos when we eat here. The waiter said we had to order the three tacos. I told him we didn’t want the platter, just three tacos. When our food arrived, I got my taco salad and my wife got something that most definitely was NOT three tacos. It was a platter with two rolled tortillas and a plate full of other options. We had to call someone else over because the food was dropped off so quickly. We told him we were expecting three tacos, no sides. He asked if it was flour or corn shells and we told him corn. After too long of a wait, our waiter brought three soft tacos with shredded chicken, with a platter. We sent this back asking for the hard shell tacos. Finally, when I was almost done, they brought the hard tacos, with a platter, with what appeared to be grilled chicken chopped up and unexpected toppings. Tired of waiting, my wife ate this. This order turned out to be “street” tacos. They were the blandest chicken we’ve had at Peppers. This will probably be our last visit to this restaurant. It’s disappointing because I really like their taco salad.
I had one of the biggest meals to go - the especial dinner or something, $ 14 which is def a good price. But, my medium beer was $10? I paid 30 bucks with the tip and tax (great staff and who didn’t need to get shorted for good service) for a beer and meal for one? The bar prices need to chill out. You shouldn’t be able to order a meal for the cost of a regular beer.
A wonderful Friday night late dinner place. We were hungry and enjoyed the salsa (not too spicy) then after ordering decided to also get margaritas (2x1 near closing time). Our server was very nice and attentive. My dish, the Carnitas plate, was huge and delicious. We also had the garlic shrimp which hit the spot. Left very happy!!
Excellent food! Lots of great options. High quality and every one is very nice. We’ve come here many times and food never disappoints. They have a big bar too and outdoor seating. Super packed at dinner time. Wait time could be 45 minutes.
Decent portions, reasonable price. Also pretty busy. Ther service was good. No complaints. If you like Mexican style food, this is worth a try. It's not my favorite genre of food. If.it where I might give it a better rating.
This place was awesome! That hypnotic margarita was so good. Food was great too. 10/10
Came there for lunch today. It's my birthday and my sister told the waiter twice and nothing. Wife ordered a small margarita and was charged for a jumbo and not offered a second.Hmm. We love the food.
men's restroom urinal's both out of order' the toilets were filthy' floor looked like they had not been cleaned in days. Ordered the El Rey shrimp was over cooked Steak full of gristle. The beans and rice were fine and the wait staff did wonderful. No where near as good as last time I was there What Happened????
Came to visit my son and we chose Peppers for dinner. Great service! Quick food! I love Mexican food and this was better than good!! We both had fajitas……perfect choice!! Oh and yes the Paloma!!
The waiter was fabulous as always. But.... I had a long dark hair in my food. They cooked me a new burrito bowl and it was great. No discount offered. Vi do not expect to get a free meal, but a little discount could of been nice.
