This was probably my worst experience with a Cracker Barrel. This is my favorite breakfast place, but I was super disappointed yesterday. I had less than a 10 minute drive home from the restaurant and when I got there nothing was warm. The hashbrown casserole was okay. In my opinion, the portion was a little small for ordering it as a single side item. The biscuits weren't soft like they usually are. I had to microwave them to soften them. Also, as you can see the cups of gravy weren't filled completely and the amount of gravy didn't match the number of biscuits. I had 6 biscuits and enough gravy for 3 of them. Again, just very disappointed. Cracker Barrel is my absolute favorite breakfast!!
Let me start off by saying that our waitress was sweet, and this likely wasn't her fault. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, fine no big deal. We got sat and then were told they didn't have half of the things we wanted to order. Okay whatever, we just picked other things. We ordered two plates of chicken tenders, a relatively easy order. Sat and waited while tables that came in after us got their food, over and over again. An hour later and we still hadn't even gotten bread. I've worked in the service industry forever and know that things happen, but we shouldn't have to wait that long for two simple orders. The kitchen needs to get it together. We left and went to the BBQ joint next door and were served quickly. I won't be going back to this Cracker Barrel anytime soon.
We went to Cracker Barrel thinking we would have a nice supper when we walked in the hostess told us it would be a 20 minute wait for a table which we agreed to and stated we would walk around. We finally was seated at 6:44 and our order was taken at 6:50 we sat and waited and watched everyone around us receive their food even the ones that came in after us. Finally at 8:06 we received our food as we were getting up to leave. The food came and it was awful. The chicken and dumplings was cold, the tomatoes on the salad was soft, the broccoli was hard as a rock and just all around not good. Our server only came to our table twice and that was to take our order and bring our food out. Completely unacceptable! I would not recommend this place to anyone. When asked at the counter how our dining experience was we told the young lady it was horrible and she asked why and if we wanted to speak with a manager. When we told her we didn’t need the manager we wanted to pay for our food and leave. She stayed I apologize the kitchen was backed up.Will not be back!
Stopped in for a late lunch while on our way to our beach house. We were seated right away. Our server was great and periodically checked on us to make sure we were doing good. The food was great and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We even did a little shopping before leaving.
Trisha served us today and the food was delicious as always. I had the Grandma Sampler with tea no lemon :)
My country Fried steak are really good.. I enjoyed it and Place is nice looking, good for picture taking..
We were at this restaurant for over a hour and a half. We were served our tea and excuses as to why our food was not ready. The waitress came by twice and said it would be another 10 minutes. The next time we walked out. This was not what we expected from Cracker Barrel. And to make matters worst....it was Easter.. We were all set to have a good meal. If they had been crowded I would not have been surprised, but they were not! VERY DISSAPOINTED!
A few issues my husband and I had at this last visit. I'll detail them here:1. First, I hate that they got rid of the Haddock dinner, that was THE best fish dinner ever and no longer on the menu. Why do they always take the best stuff away?2. I ordered the pot roast dinner. The meat was mediocre, nothing to write home about. My broccoli was cold and I asked our waiter if he could heat it up but he said he will get me some more. I think he may have been overworked as I saw him many times helping people and I waited a good 20 minutes before asking him again about my broccoli. He then went and got it for me.3. My loaded baked potato was not worth the extra money. The potatoes are apparently microwaved, so they have that NOT fluffy texture that good baked potatoes have. The amount of cheese was tiny, certainly NOT loaded or what I paid for.So, overall, this experience was not a good one nor was it worth what we paid. I am hoping they will work on this. The food at Cracker Barrel is usually pretty good, but not this time.
Great food and great service
We have been dining at cracker barrelrestaurant ever since it opened in Panama City,Fl. Up until the last few months our dining experiences have been outstanding. However 2 times in the last month we have attempted to dine at your facility only to be seated by the greeter then be ignored by dining room staff. We waited close to ten minutes on both occasions and nobody on duty in the front dining room offered to take our order or bring us beverages. This has resulted in us getting up and leaving your facility due to the fact that the customer does not like to be ignored. On our most recent visit on 3/11/2022, we were seated by the greeter and provided menus. During this time there was a waiter serving a family of four next to us and a waitress cleaning a table 2 tables away from us. After waiting for about 10 minutes without being recognized,we got up and left. There was no excuse for us to be ignored as there was only the party of four next to us and a gentleman 2 tables in front and across from us in the front dining room. Also my wife has a bad leg and had requested a table close to the entrance of the dining room, she was told that there was no tables available and she was shown and seated at a table almost across the dining room. The whole time we were there the tables next to the wall by the dining room entrance remained empty. We do not appreciate being lied to and no effort being made to accommodate her disability. As much as we enjoy the food at Cracker Barrel, the quality and lack of service has made us decide to seek out another dining establishment that pays attention to the customer and their needs.
