Had no problems with the food or the service…. until we were about to leave. A waitress (not even the one that attended to our drinks and plates) got smart with us by saying “4 people no money?”, mind you I was trying to ask the table if they had a couple dollars to leave a tip before I was rudely interrupted by this demanding waitress. I thought that was rudest incident I’ve ever encountered. I always leave a tip and was in the process, but should not forced to at any point. She had me so flustered and embarrassed trying to leave.
The food was really good but when I commented on a hair on my food they tried claiming it was a customer when the buffer is covered by glass that overhangs the food trays. They only discounted $5 and didn’t give my elderly grandma a senior discount like they did last time. Kept looking at us sideways as well. Proceeded to insult us in mandarin at checkout.
Great all you can eat buffet. There are others in town but I always come back to Chow Time. The price vs quality is hard to beat in Panama City for Asian buffet.
This place is amazing! Great selection of Chinese, seafood and even steak. Not to mention a huge sushi selection, and hibachi selections for the grill. Price is great, even for the drinks. Huge place, sanitary, and good service.
I go to Chow Time once or twice a week and I like the food. The only thing that I dislike is when a Server demands a tip. I know and understand that tipping is voluntary and not required in restaurants. Being that most of the Staff there can barely speak English or cannot speak English at all, I really could not complain or talk to a Manager about this Server that was demanding that I tip her. If only I knew her name I would have complained about her and how rude she was. I am hoping that this will never happen to any Guest that eats there.
Food was descent.After eating then paying the bill, we stepped over to the table top get our fortune cookies. Well, there are 4 of us and my husband went to get each of us 1 and 2 each for the 2 boys (6cookies) and the lady at the counter told him he had to pay for them. Charged us a little over $3. Well 4 of them were bc we ate there so charged us $3 for 2. We have been here a good bit and have always done this and never had this issue.
This was my first visit. The atmosphere is nice. The bathrooms were not clean and the soap dispensers that were not broken were empty. The staff ranged from indifferent to rude. Especially the young hostess who was very rude. The food is just ok. Over all, not at all worth the price.
They have the best buffet in the town. They have seafood , Sushi , steak and chicken . I loved the salad bar. We had really nice time and the service was amazing no waiting . Thank you so much high recommend it ??????
First time eating at Chow Time and my family and I wasn't let down. The food was very good and the restaurant its self was very clean. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.Will definitely be going back.
Most things here were made to perfection. Shrimp did taste previously frozen, strange because it's Florida. Did not eat any dessert or sushi but quality exceptional.You can takeout food from here, which if you're going to eat ~3.5 pounds or less, depending on what you buy, it's probably cheaper to take out than to eat in for dinner.
