As an avid salt and freshwater fisherman, fresh fish and cooking them is one of my specialties. Years ago, we first visited Captain Anderson's and became hooked. We retired to another state and brought our Granddaughters to PC Beach for the first time. Their fancy restaurant was Captain Anderson's. Each Granddaughter had the fried fantail popcorn shrimp. They are actually about a medium fried shrimp. They were perfectly cooked and each girl ate all of their 12+ shrimp and 1/2 of their French fries. I tasted a shrimp and it was excellent and lightly breaded and fried. My wife got her usual stuffed gulf shrimp with crabmeat dressing. She proclaimed them excellent. I order a whole charcoaled grilled Red Snapper. It was a good as I have ever eaten with sweat moist meat, scallions, and a butter sauce. I picked the bones as this is as good of a fish as I have ever eaten! They also had whole grilled pompano that I love but I had to have Red Snapper this meal. My wife and I each ordered a Bleu Cheese wedge salad with bacon. Crisp, with ample bacon, red onions, mixed colored cherry tomatoes, and exceptional Bleu Cheese. One of my granddaughters loved the small portion that G'ma shared with her and I contributed a few nice chunks of Bleu Cheese. Our loaded baked potatoes were excellent as were the hushpuppies and the basket of fresh baked bread. It is remarkable that this place is so consistent with excellent food based on the numbers of people served per day. My travels have taken me all over the world. I would put this restaurant up against any as far as quality of the seafood and the number of people served each day. I remarked to my wife that the meal was worth the 400 mile drive. Hard to imagine that the meal could have been any better. Also, the service by Lillian G was better than excellent. She talked to my 8 and 10 granddaughters like they were real customers. Our iced tea and water were promptly refilled. As good of a service person as I have ever had. I consider it remarkable that we dined on this quality food including a 25% gratuity for $130. Value far exceeded our bill. Already planning to come back next year! Safe travels to all.

I highly recommend arriving 15 mins early if you can and make sure your entire party is there and ready to be seated. The wait times here can increase rapidly to at minimum a hour. The food is delicious and there is plenty of parking. I have the crab cakes and mashed which was delicious.

This restaurant opens at four and you should be in line at that time. ? It is very busy but the food is great. Our waitress was fantastic. They bring out rolls that have a cheese crust (?) on them and they are amazing. The vegetable soup is really like a vegetable stew and is really good. My husband enjoyed his catfish and said it was fried to perfection. I had grilled shrimp and it was extremely good. We definitely will go back.

Worst dining experience ever. Family came down from Alabama excited to try good Florida seafood. This is NOT the place. We went on Tuesday and waited an hour to be seated, not even that but our table had no view or windows at all. Their advertising says otherwise and claims we would have a view of boats coming in and unloading, but we had just a regular table. Wouldn’t be so upset about it if we weren’t waiting an hour to be seated and they hadn’t claimed we would have a bay view beforehand. Our server was ok. We waited over an hour for our actual meals to come out. The daiquiris were $15 each and didn’t even taste like they had alcohol in them, earlier we were at the pier across from Pier Park and the daiquiris there were only $5 and tasted better. My wife and I both had the fried seafood platter with lobster, needless to say we couldn’t and didn’t want to finish it. Both platters were cold, the scallops were dry and almost hard. The shrimp and fish it came with didn’t even taste like it was edible. We were excited to try the lobster tails but there was barely any meat in them at all, and it was still cold like everything else. Not to mention, the lobster was an additional $30 to the $30 fried platter. The food was absolutely horrible, our check came to about $250 not including tip and I honestly felt like I had been robbed. We were still starving afterwards, the only thing we could actually eat were the salads and bread. TOURIST TRAP! Not worth it. Our first night we ate at schooners which is WAY cheaper, better atmosphere, and the food was amazing! Can’t believe this was supposed to be “the best restaurant on the beach.” Absolute waste of money.

Our party of 5.5 enjoyed our dinner from appetizer to dessert. Our entrees were shrimp pasta, red snapper, Florida Stuffed lobster. Lobster tails and a kid's hamburger. Everything was delicious and the server Sarah was knowledgeable and friendly.

Amazing experience. If you go during the busy season, you will wait but it’s worth it. While waiting, you can shop, visit the bar or walk around the marina. The service was spectacular and the menu options were awesome. I 100% recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I had a better meal at another restaurant on the beach. I got the same thing here, the fried shrimp and fries. The shrimp here was chewy and over cooked, the fries were just not good like they didn’t get cooked enough. I felt the shrimp were not fresh. My wife got a steak. They brought her the wrong one but said it was in her favor it was a better cut. I should have made them bring her what she ordered. She said no that she would eat it. She asked for medium rare to medium. It was purple and cold inside. We sent it back and it came back still too rare, the center was still cool to the touch. She gave up and ate around the edges. She got the au gratin potatoes. She said the cheese sauce tasted like they used powdered cheese. The only thing we had that was good was the she crab soup. Sad for a restaurant that has been here this long.

This is a Historic restaurant on the water. You Must eat here. Food is delicious. Busy, there is a wait. Lobby with historical artifacts and gift shop to pass time until called. Friendly greeter took us down halls, past one of owner brothers, all in their 80s. Special, family friendly place. All the dishes are delicious. Awesome evening. Highly Recommended!

It was OK. Very overpriced, very. There was maybe 5 broiled shrimp on each plate it was tough. Got half of a lobster tail it was also tough. 2 pieces of white fish an scallions with a baked potato X2 plates. Total bill $140.00. Nice place.. Excellent service but food wasn't all that.. This was my Anniversary dinner so kind of disappointed.

This was a return visit to Captain Anderson's following a 2021 dinner, which was Excellent. This time we had an appetizer order of calamari, bowl of she-crab soup, a tuna dinner and a large Greek Salad. All were Delicious, generous portions, and of Outstanding quality, as was our Server Kerim P. Kerim anticipated our desires and needs, and was hustling non-stop attending to all of his assigned tables. He is a fine Gentleman and an Excellent representative of Captain Anderson's fine establishment. This large waterfront restaurant serves thousands of customers nightly and does it efficiently and in a very Welcoming manner. Congratulations to the Team at captain Anderson's on establishing and maintaining such a quality customer experience. We Highly Recommend and will return again when in the area. Thank You.
