The cook Tony is absolutely the worst person to have cooking. Took 40 minutes for him to cook my meal and then threw them away. We ended up walking out after waiting for over an hour for our ordered. We tipped the waitress though because he was berating her. Arguing with a waitress, called her names, was racist towards her. Wont eat here again if he’s here. I watched multiple tables including ours walk out after waiting for ever for our order.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn resort across the street. You can either walk from the hotel or take the cart to the parking lot and walk from there. They were faster than any other waffle house I've ever been to. The food was great.
Sad to find only two employees holding down the fort at this location on a Thursday night, but not surprisingly it was the best WH experience I've had. The food was perfect, and the waitress did a great job despite obviously having a terrible day. They were a good team and both attended to us better than expected. There are a handful of other locations in the area, but I'm glad we chose this one.
The waitress was nice initially, but appeared frustrated after the restaurant got full. The bacon was burnt. The grill cheese was not melted. The waffle came out 15 minutes before the rest of the food. We were provided no butter even after asking. The cook appeared bothered when asked for bacon that wasn’t burnt. Never asked if we wanted a refill or additional drink. I know we’re in times where restaurants are short of staff, but this was unacceptable.

The late night crew is phenomenal! Always great service and Adrian always makes my meal perfect! I go out of my way, pass up 2 other Waffle Houses, just to get the unmatched service of this one. Great job guys!
I visited this waffle house today at noon and it was just ok except the food and coffee. The grits I got were clumpy and cold, the coffee was really old and cold as well. The cook was more involved talking to a customer than making sure he served me warm and not clumpy grits. The server was good and did her job ok other than serving old and cold coffee. The restaurant was clean overall but I will not go back. I'll just stick to going to WH on Thomas Dr. ( Navy base) which is the best WH in bay county.
How can you beat scattered, smothered, topped, and diced hash browns here......you can't! Prices are reasonable, service was fast and food and coffee were great!
