We had a great lunch today at Sisters by the Sea. Cold Gulf shrimp and fried okra. My husband had a side salad. Great atmosphere and bar. There is a pool which looked like a lot of fun with a poolside bar.
Absolutely amazing experience for a little girl who dreams of being a mermaid. You can swim with the mermaids in a pool in the back next to the bar. If your kid can swim best babysitting bar I've ever seen. There's a dressed up mermaid up front you can take dry pictures. Mermaids keep character. There's a pirate that makes balloon animals. We didn't get to entertain with him but tips are appreciated for all the hard work at baby sitting they do.
Sisters of the Sea might just be the coolest restaurant that I have ever been to! Such a fun environment! We went for our daughter’s 5th birthday because she loves mermaids. We for there around 4:00 to try and miss the heavy crowds. We were seated right away. We sat on the covered patio where live music was playing and by the pool. Our server was very friendly. Everyone was friendly. We had several stop and check on us. It really exuded a team atmosphere which was nice to see. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The mermaids arrived at 5 and they were such a hit! One was in the pool and one was inside. Both were very friendly and looked like beautiful real mermaids! Our kids loved them! Swimming with one was an added bonus! The music was good, not all songs very appropriate for young kids (drinking, cuss words, so on) but for adults it was great. The outside area definitely had more of a bar feel and not as much of a family feel. The inside had much more of that family feel. The outside seemed more like a place parents could go listen to live music while they ate and drank/boozed while their kids had fun in the pool. It was a fun environment. The only thing that could’ve made it better would be if the music was more younger kids friendly until a certain time. Again, the songs were great for adults (I loved them) but I didn’t love that my 5 year old was hearing songs with curse words and about getting drunk. From what I could see there were a lot of younger kids arriving at 5:00 for the mermaids.
Absolutely Loved pirate Scooter(needs a raise he def entertained us and made time pass)! The food was all good! You can't go wrong with any of the Appetizers!
We go to Panama City almost every year and this was the first time we heard of this restaurant. We ended up eating there twice it was so good and was a great price. The Staff was great! They have a pool so kids can be entertained while waiting for food. There was love entertainment or second night and it was very relaxing. The amount of grouper I got in the basket and in the seafood trio was easily twice as much as you get anywhere else and was cheaper. The crab cakes were great. We ordered them as an appetizer both times and my 10 yr old son ordered it as his dinner the second time.
Pros:Enjoyable themed restaurant. Lots to look at. live mermaid greats you at the door for pictures. Niche shop up front to purchase things while you wait to be seated. Outside seating over looks a swimming pool you or your kids can enjoy before or after eating. 5 stars on the quality attributes.Cons:it’s loud, not really a relaxing place to be. The pool area feel congested because there a back alley road visible from the seating. Initial feeling was a cruise ship pool/party area. Food tasted ok but was quite a bit overpriced considering the quality. Not a very big menu, options seemed limited.
It's a really nice place family friendly , The kids can take pictures with mermaid.i orderd gator pops with seasoned fries. Some gator pops where bit salty but still really good It also has the structure of white fish only the only thing is it was a bit more chewy.
A really nice seafood place near the marina. We had just been on the sea screamer ?.The pool area is cool. We were in panama city beach for jeep jam 2022.
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had 2 teens along so we were hoping they would swim as the gulf had red flags flying. This is the second time to this establishment. The food is good with a nice bar selection, HOWEVER, the new owner removed the best thing on the menu, the fried strawberries (and why we chose to eat here). I had been excited since December to get back down and have this wonderful treat again, and to my dismay, they were no longer available.
We were quickly seated upon arrival, but from there it went downhill. My husband & I sat there for over 15 mins without even being acknowledged. Several staff were milling about, but No One ever came over to our table. We got up & left & do not plan on returning! Such poor service!
