Wonderful food and atmosphere. We were a party of 6 we arrived around 5:30 prime time for dinner. We had immediate seats and service. Plenty of lighting and the music was not overly loud. Food was all hot and cooked perfect when received nothing over/under cooked.
Great food and wait staff attentive and above and beyond . They were slammed but every customer taken care of with great smiles from Paris and Jasmine
I give this place 5 stars. Great service, great atmosphere, good people. The food is amazing! Highly recommend!
Nice variety for seafood and BBQ options. The pulled pork nachos showed very clearly why they are known for their BBQ. The smokey flavor alone was just outstanding. When it comes to seafood there are SO many options to choose from. A friend of mine got the baked oyster sampler and was very pleased. The kids enjoyed the fried shrimp basket and fries. My boyfriend and I ordered the regular Gulf shrimp Cajun style, the seared scallops and a few sides. The scallops were my favorite part. His oldest ordered the shrimp and grits but it was way too spicy for him. I am not sure what the sauce is that they put on it but it was a buttery spice mix. He had to order plain grilled shrimp and grits on the side but the grits were very underwhelming unfortunately. The plain grilled shrimp they brought out was very good and very flavorful. Good food and a menu with lots of variety for sure.
We are lucky this restaurant is a block away from our condo for the next week, because we definitely plan on going back before we leave. Paulina was our server and she was wonderful! She was definitely busy but we didn’t have any problems with service. Food was amazing and surprisingly quick considering how busy they were. We were told a 45 minute wait but was paged within 10 minutes. Can’t wait to try something else before we leave!
The service here was awful. I believe they forgot about us. Took an hour to get our food and people arrived after us and they got theirs before ours. I’m not one to complain as I do work in the service industry but this is unacceptable. After we did get our food nobody came to check on us. We should have walked out. Go somewhere else.
After a full day of travels from across the USA 5 65 year old ladies finally got settled in the condo across the street and needed to get something to eat so walked to the Sand Bar. Several had local beers and others margaritas...all good! We all had mainly the same things.....grouper sandwiches, po boy shrimp and salads..the grouper sandwiches and the po boy got very good reviews. It was a Saturday night about 8 pm ...sat outside on the patio...no issues getting a table. there's a lot of road construction currently so the "atmosphere" is not great but it was ok. A few people inside but not crowded. The best part was our server...Allison....what a pleasure! She was very attentive, friendly and spent quite a bit of time providing ideas of what to do in the area. We would all recommend the Sand Bar....reasonably priced, good atmosphere for casual dining/drinks and good food!
I have visited Sandbar for 8 years and it never disappoints! Everything on the menu I’ve tried is excellent. I could eat here every day of my vacation and never be disappointed.
Went to eat lunch with my son on my lunch break. Ordered several appetizers which included crab cake, oyster sampler, bacon wrapped shrimp and tuna dip. Only complaint about the food was the server brought our oyster sampler out burnt. No way we would eat that and when I asked her to take it back she said she knew it was burnt and didn't know why she brought it. Our food was also brought out one by one at different times 10 minutes apart. I thought the place was slammed, however, there was only 4 tables.Our server was clearly high af. Fine, do it on your off time as I do, but not when it's going to completely effect your ability to perform a simple task like not bring burned black cheese covered oysters to a table of locals who eat this regularly and smart enough to know.Second complaint is after receiving the bill, i waited nearly 30 minutes at which point I had to go find another employee inside who had to get my waitress from outside to close out my bill. While I was leaving and going to my car I followed my favorite smell of marijuana around back to find my waitress again, smoking a blunt rather than help the newly seated table of 4.And to think I just gave them $93 for absolutely the worst service on the beach. What a way to treat your customers. What a shame.
Had Dinner and Lunch here this week. Food was good and service was also. Will recommend Sandbar Seafood and BBQ as a good food place.
