I don’t know where to start…Line was out the door and once you entered the shop you were expected to know exactly what you wanted even though there were a million choices on the menu you had 5 milliseconds to choose. It was rush, rush, rush. Then who ever was making cones and cups would hold up the ice-cream and scream loudly what it was and expect you to know immediately that it was yours even though other people could have ordered the same thing. The little girl running the register had an attitude and was making faces because she was slightly inconvenienced with our order. I accidentally told her that I got a cone instead of a cup and she was rolling her eyes, very professional (not) Also, wall to wall people and extremely loud. The ice-cream was not even very good. It was melting before we even paid for it. It looked like soup after I took two bites. This ice-cream shop is poorly ran and I would not recommend it. I will not be returning. Save your money and go to Dairy Queen.
This place is dessert heaven! There are so many unique choices, we had the mangonada it was pretty good we paid about $15/each. Definitely a must try at the Pier Park.
Very yummy turtle pecan sundae with chocolate ice cream instead of butter pecan . And hubby had a cookie dough milkshake type thing he still needed a spoon for so it was thick still . He liked it a lot . We enjoyed our ice cream . I took one star lol fr because there was a total of 15 teenagers behind the counter just standing there … I didn’t like that at all some had phones in there hands just something about it seemed unsanitary having that many people near the food that are unneeded….and then I took another star away for pricing . For what you see in the picture small Sunday and small milkshake is 26$
Delicious! Beware you will get the itis after eating this! Lol. Had to sit down for a good minute then walked it off by walking around. You get to keep the souvenir jar if you get a milkshake but I do recommend wash stations so we can rinse out the jar before talking it home.
A man behind the counter was yelling and shouting at people to move down - shuttling the crowd through like cattle. He got aggravated when my son paused to decide what mix-in he wanted and laughed and moved on to someone else. I had to ask a girl to put some marshmallows on top since the man had already flung his ice cream in a bowl because he was too busy to wait a second for my son to say his mix-in. They were totally out of the “free” waffle cones. Our ice cream was totally soupy and melted. $17 for 2 small cups of ice cream. We have been to other marble slabs that are wonderful, I assume the problem is poor management at this location. They get plenty of business since pier park is a crowded tourist area, so I guess they aren’t worried about keeping customers however there are many other ice cream shops available. I will never waste my money or time at this one again.
We went there twice on our vacation in hopes that they were just having an “off” day. But apparently it’s just the norm. The ice cream and the cookies were great! But the service was pathetic. The girl that waited on me acted as if I was a total inconvenience. No greeting and had a look on her face of complete dread. Another guy would just sit on a stool behind the counter and eat ice cream while people were not being waited on. Then someone would come from the back and help while he continued to do nothing. I understand if he is on a break but take your break where people can’t see you sitting there while they are hoping someone will wait on them. I know it’s hard to find help right now but I would rather wait longer than feel like an inconvenience. This happened on both visits.
Unbelievably overpriced and the staff was rude and not welcoming! They don’t have prices listed for…probably because everyone would turn around and leave. My wife and I both got the smallest serving of normal ice cream and our total came to $15. Anywhere else I’ve gone the total would have been maybe $6-$7 max for two of these serving. They were small, and I mean very small servings. The ice cream is nothing special. Something you can get in any store. Cool place, but save some money and go down the street to a cheaper place.
Over priced. Ride staff. The "hype" shakes are all gross. The toppings the jam in them are all stale or close to it. The ice cream is totally melted in the cup and it's 50% whip topping, and the topping is even below average! Save your money! Cool location! Great idea! The thought has been lost in the corporate idealogy though unfortunately! Smaller cups! More filler! Less product! On top of the the staff was so rude, and they can't say they was understaffed, maybe overstaffed? Rude none the less from 3-4 different people. Not 1 nice person oddly.
We visited yesterday 4/16/22 at around 11:30AM. At least 10 of the variety ice creams were melted in their containers, the ladies working couldn't have cared less about what the customers were ordering. I asked if they had any dairy-free options for my daughter and the lady acted like I was bothering her by asking. The ice cream we did get was good in taste but also nearly melted so it was a mess. Lackluster visit to say the least.
The ice cream was good and fast, but the prices are not posted well. They have a few items posted in the store, but not all. We were celebrating a birthday and got a $15 shake and a $8 ice cream waffle bowl. Yikes! The shake was probably the size of a small shake at McD’s. We will not be going back.
