High priced and just okay. 4$ for a regular black coffee was a bit much
The food was very unseasoned, and a bunch of people got food poisoning after eating the chicken sandwiches. They also could not accommodate ANY sort of food allergies or restrictions such as vegans or vegetarians. Would not recommend.
Wasn't open during Google posted hours. Guessing perhaps not open for season.
Our family likes simple, clean, affordable, safe, convenient... and so on. These cottages exceeded our expectations. Our accommodation was the best all-around value we've ever experienced, especially being literally only a few steps from the beach.
Excellent coffee and exceptional customer service. We loved stopping in and getting coffee and pastries in the morning!
The only ice cream shop open past 10, and well worth it.

ice cream is delicious but the girl taking my order was incredibly rude. We both said the name of our flavors wrong and when i said “chocolate chip cookie dough” instead of “cookie doughlicious” she looked at me like i was crazy and unkindly said the name to me. I didn’t know that you could only get one scoop on the cake cone and she wasn’t helpful or kind at all when i had to change it. Unhappy with the experience here. walked away feeling angry and disappointed with the service as i’m in the food service industry service as well.
Brought our family of four here in summer 2020. Paid $169 for a room at the gulf side motel. VERY disappointed. We love Laguna Beach Retreat and have been bringing youth there for 15 years. Thought the motel style rooms on the beach would be similar to the dorm rooms on the campuses. They are not. The appliances had rust all over and were very dirty. Felt the balcony was about to fall off of the building. AC dripping kept part of the balcony wet. Just felt old and dirty...like we wouldn’t bring food in the room to eat it. The view was great but not anywhere near worth the price of the dilapidated room. I hate leaving a bad review for anything Laguna Beach Christian Retreat but this needs to be said. The pools were nice and clean and the view great but other than that.... nothing else was good about the place. Just old and dirty. You are 100% paying ONLY for the view off of the dilapidated balcony. This place needs a complete renovation. I don’t have many pics to show of room because we didn’t want to remember it!
I cannot say enough good things about Laguna Beach Christian Retreat. We had a fantastic family vacation there last week and were able to really enjoy the beach. We stayed in the Gulfside condo and had a beautiful view. Didn't want to come home. Jeremy and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in every way possible. Please take your family here and support this awesome ministry. Ask about the homeschool discount.
