Walked in the dinning area and smelled marijuana. Food wasn’t that good. Service not good. Bathroom was disgusting:
**Would still recommend but have a suggestion. Dee’s is always a go-to for us. They have incredible food and love the atmosphere. Unfortunately, we had a not so great experience. We were trying to make it before they closed on Friday 7/8, and we called just to make sure they would seat us still if we walked in 10 minutes til. We were stuck in awful traffic and we had a hankering She Crab Soup. The lady assured us on the phone they would seat us as long as we were on the wait list before 9:00. When I walked in 8:50, the hostess looked at me with big eyes and said they still had a wait and were closing soon. I even told her I called just to make sure they would seat us and she just stared at me like I was a huge inconvenience so we just left. I was super disappointed. I understand being busy and I know how the beach is on the weekend, but I would love for y’all to extend your evening hours on the weekend. We are local and come quite often. Not first world problems and I know how hardworking the restaurant industry is, especially during the peak season.
This is a great place to eat in PCB. I had the red fish in etouffee. They even had zipper peas (if you don’t know…you need to get acquainted) as a side. Everything was delicious. Huge portions, so probably wouldn’t order an appetizer again. It was really good too- smoked tuna dip with ranch and jalapeño flavors. Not too spicy. Waiter was very helpful and attentive. Be aware, they are charging an inflation fee on the bill. Think it is about 5%. Still worth it.
Wow. So starts out by being greeted by the attached picture of the 6% inflation tax. Gets better with the rude hostess saying “I’ll seat you when I’m ready” after waiting for our reservation. Great way to start off a group seating. Then told two different servers with 4 families making it even more difficult to handle checks.Let’s get to the meal. Appetizers were hush puppies and their “famous” tuna dip. Not sure why it’s famous to be honest. Quite ordinary. Cant taste any smoke flavor. I ordered fried shrimp and grouper. Shrimp was edible grouper was not. Very salty. Fries were soggy.Was really hoping this would be some place worthy of a return trip but that will not happen especially with this additional fees…Add 6% inflation feeAdd 2.5% to use a credit cardAdded 19% gratuity
Fantastic place with great food and service. A local recommended we check it out and wow I’m glad that we did. It was super convenient to walk over from our hotel on the beach and they sat us immediately. I personally recommend the Shrimp Étouffée but all the other dishes that everyone got in our party were great- Oyster Po Boy and Fried shrimp platter. The prices were what I’d expect from seafood but the portions were enormous which was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back again when we come back to visit Panama City Beach.
Excellent food and service. The She Crab soup is the best I’ve had… anywhere. Shrimp were very tender with a light coating that was perfect. When it comes to servers, Steven is tops… a hard worker that’s funny and attentive. Love this place!
Loved the place. Etoufee was delicious. Loved that they have classic dishes with chicken options as I don’t eat seafood. Service was great.
My husband and I were on vacation from Texas and chose Dee’s for dinner based off of the good reviews. The atmosphere was nice and the music selection was great. The waitress, Baylor (I’m assuming that’s how it was spelled), was phenomenal; they really have a gem with her! Lots of parking. But… the food was just okay. I had a seafood platter with oysters, grouper, and shrimp and my husband had a Cajun platter with a margarita. We had a lot of options to try with those two menu choices and we weren’t impressed with really any of it unfortunately. In short, Everything but the food was great.
Love, love the She-crab soup! My husband gets shrimp or po-boy sandwich while I enjoy my soup and bread. Very rich and creamy.
