The service was amazing. Our waitress for a party of 10 remembered everyone’s order and never wrote one thing down. This place came highly recommended and certainly did not meet expectations. The oysters were good. The other food was mediocre at best. We ordered a soft shell crab that was burnt to a crisp. Foe expensive for the quality of food served. Lobster bisque that tasted like it was from a Campbell’s soup can was $16.00. Shrimp and grits, fried shrimp and burger were ok. Again, the service and oysters were great!
Based upon positive Reviews of Billy's, we stopped one afternoon for an early dinner while vacationing in PCB. We had a very efficient and friendly Server, Annette. She explained the various oyster options on the menu. We had 1 dozen of baked oysters (3 types) which were all delicious, as was the bread bowl of Seafood Gumbo and the bowl of Clam Chowder. Both were very large and tasty. We Highly Recommend Billy's to others. Thanks for a Great Meal, Annette and Billy's
We arrive about noon for lunch and were happy they had fresh select steamed blue crabs locally caught and perfectly seasoned. The crab baked oysters were delicious. We have them add jalapeño and extra parmesan.
I have visited Billy's numerous times, but this weekend will be my last. This place used to have good service but has decided to hire incompetent service staff. How does any server forget to put in an order (3 dozen baked oysters)? How does any server not come back to a table for 10-15 minutes at a time and ask if you need refills? How does a server deliver cold food that had obviously been sitting around for quite a while? Yea, this place used to have good service but it has went downhill the past year or so as the service was also bad during my last visit.
It was mediocre at best. Outside was busy even at early dinner and we were seated inside. The staff yelled at each other back and forth and we were the only people inside at the bar area. I know about money possibly being short and everyones section etc. This wasn’t casual convo that we just happen to ease drop on. The shucker was banging the oysters on the counter top trying to shuck them. Never seen that before out of experienced shuckers, maybe he was new or having trouble. Either way the staff and him banging made it hard to hold a conversation or not jump out of your skin at every bang. Food….it was just ok. Clams were over cooked and tough, no seasoning on the new potatoes. I would go to J Michaels for about the same money.
I have come here for the Clam Chowder in Sourdough Bowl. It’s really good. Sometimes they make Lobster Bisque instead. They have seating inside as well as outside. They also have a bar. Large parking lot. Sometimes the service isn’t great. I left last time because they forgot me. Waiting 30 min for food was ridiculous cause they weren’t even busy. I’ll come back, but not anytime soon.
Amazing host Tanner!!! Loved the outdoor seating! Food was spot on! Location excellent! I highly recommend the Pina Colada for a drink and the shrimp, crab, and parmesan dip for appetizer! The crawfish was superb according to my friend!! Would definitely go back!
all I can say Billy's is definitely our new favorite place for oysters ...we. had the oyster Rockefeller and Billy's steamed plate with steamed oysters , spicey shrimp , steamed clams and crab legs and corn on the Cobb...everything was amazing and Ms Marlowe is the Sweetest waitress ...everyone was just super nice ...we will definitely be back before we go home ...and the ceilings are full of dollar bills hanging so cool ...
First time stopping at Billy's. Mixed 'reviews' on the food. My husband and son had oysters which they both enjoyed. I ordered Barbecue Shrimp. I should have read thoroughly before ordering. The shrimp was in a liquid-like-soup. It was seasoned well and not 'bad' - it just wasn't what I expected, and not something I would order again.. Our server told us she was new and very friendly.
I do not often go out to eat in Panama City, but my family was in town and I went with them to give Billy's a try since I have hear good things. We had a party of 5 and were sat within 15 minutes, so that was great. Our waitress was kind and for as many tables as she had, she did a good job. The food tasted great. We had coconut shrimp and oysters for appetizers. I had snow crab and corn for my entrée. It was so much crab, I could not finish it all. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall, good experience.
