I was just waiting at Bayou for a drink and the woman bartender was so rude. The servers were throwing plates around and the staff seemed very stressed. I walked out and DO not recommend this place ever!!
Great place to eat Very friendly people and awesome food will go back
Best. Freshest. Food. Ever. Ashley was the best and recommended things that did not disappoint at all. You’ll be glad you gave this place a try.
My favorite place to eat. Something for everyone…service is good we did encounter a Karen of a hostess on one of our trips. We had a large party and seated all of our children together and she promptly told us “we don’t babysit your kids here” I corrected Karen the hostess and informed her that we had two teenagers that were great babysitters. Other than Karen glaring at our well behaved “kids table” from the hostess station it was an excellent experience for a party of 19. Best crab cake and cheese grits on the beach. Wonderful chargrilled oysters. Seafood platter was great as well.
there was no way to carry on a conversation with the others in your party because of the noise level, it was very annoying to have to keep saying I didn't hear you. Swamp cakes were something different, fried green tomatoes with crab meat on top and drizzled with a sauce. I did not like the taste of the crab meat (and I love crab) so I scraped it off, you 3 (yes, three) slices for $12, way overpriced, I would pass on this appetizer. I had blackened shrimp with cajun fries and salad, it was very tasty except their Ranch dressing had this unappetizing taste to it so needless to say my salad was ruined. Service was bad, took a long time to get food and refills, there was plenty of staff for the amount of people that were there.
We've been stopping here for many years during our visits to PCB. The food is very good, whether it's Oysters, crayfish, shrimp or fish. We had their take of aMufilata with shrimp, oysters, crayfish, cheese and olive relish, fantastic and quite delicious. Beach bar scene but not on the beach. This was Bike week so the place was crazy. CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY.
Hubby and I went to Bayou on the Beach with two other couples and had a very nice evening. It was the first time there for all six of us and it did not disappoint. We had a smattering of a lot of different food, oysters, char broiled oysters, swamp cakes (my favorite), red beans and rice with sausage and gumbo. All were delicious. Our waiter was fantastic. Fun and engaging and took the time to talk up the different sauces they offered and gee, ask him about the homemade tartar sauce....it's a love story. LOL. Entres were a seafood muffuletta which was HUGE!! Very good but you do have to like olives because it does have an olive sauce base to it. Shrimp PO Boy with tons of shrimp and the bread was fresh and tasty. Hubby and I split the ribeye with shrimp and lo and behold the stead melted in your mouth!! It wasn't a thick steak but it was a good quality steak and the grilled shrimp had cajun seasoning so again very very tasty. Coleslaw (on the vinegary side which hubby loved) and sweet potato fries rounded out the dinner. Will definitely be back to try out some of their other items. A win win!!
We were greeted as soon as we hit the door, and ordered drinks. Nothing but excellent service, especially the help with appropriate portion-size ordering. Oysters and well, all of it was GREAT!! And thanks again to the most Awesome Dawn “The Deliverer of Greatness”

If you’re in Panama City Beach, you must stop at this restaurant. This place is not a tourist destination, and all the locals truly love it. To start, the Who Dat Shrimp is a must try, and the red beans and rice are delicious. The steak, crawfish étouffée, hush puppies, crawfish platter, and bread were all incredible. The staff were very nice, and there was a very welcoming atmosphere. Next time you find yourself in PCB, don’t forget stop at Bayou’s!
