The husband and I both ordered make your own combo of three choices. I did 2 chili rellenos and an Quesadilla. He ordered a tamal, enchilada and a burrito. Came with seasoned rice and beans. We are both very picky on Mexican food but they place had some of the best tasting food. My chili rellenos were tender (i picked beef, you have the option of chicken, beef or cheese) and it was well seasoned. The quesadilla had some of the best seasoned meat. He was very happy with his meal and plans for us going back next weekend to try other dishes.The pictures are of my leftovers.
First visit here and the food was absolutely amazing! We had a very large party and the service was never lacking nor were the delicious chips and salsa. Everyone was very pleased with their entreesand the portion size was spot on!
I live very close to this restaurant and dine here quite often, I do want to recognize the staff for being so attentive when I had my Bachelorette Party dinner of 22. I couldn't have asked for better service especially for a Saturday evening when it's pretty busy. They accommodated us, set up tables and were very quick with getting drinks and orders out in a timely manor. All of the food was excellent and we were able to head to our next destination right on time. Thank you 2/5/22
Overall a great experience. I went with 4 colleagues on National Margarita Day, which also happened to be Taco Tuesday. Wait for a table was an hour, and there was still a wait when we left a couple hrs later. Fabulous decor. Huge portions. Food was tasty, but not exemplary. Drink refills were slow, but they were packed. I would definitely go again.
We’ve visited Plaza Mexico a handful of times before I wrote a review to give it a fair rating. The menu is diverse and had a lot of traditional Mexican dishes along with a menu section that showcases some of their own house dishes. The wait staff is fantastic even when spread thin. The restaurant itself is a decent size and in a convenient location in Palm Harbor.
Server was fantastic. Food was great. Host sucked, took well over an hour to seat our group, watched table after table after table get seated with folks who arrived after us. Followed up several times and eventually just walked in and sat ourselves. We were ne er going to eat otherwise.. Kitchen was a little slow but worth the wait for food. Would give them another shot.
Very authentic Mexican food. The food was good but the service was horrible. We ate at the bar because the dining room lights were unbearably bright. We asked about happy hour drinks and the bartender mentioned wine which I ordered, however, he failed to say it was 2 for 1. He asked if I was ready for my second wine after we finished eating and were asking for the check and even rolled his eyes at me and was very cold and unfriendly the entire time. There is definitely a language barrier here if you don't speak Spanish. We felt very unwelcome.
Had dinner with my husband and we were very impressed. As soon as you go in, it is inviting with its decor and playing good Mexican music. The staff was friendly and wearing their mask. They bring tortilla chips and salsa to your table. I ordered pollo Yucatán and he had the burrito Kinverlin and for dessert we had churros. They also have real vegetarian options and I’m looking forward in trying those dishes as well. Everything was delicious and with great presentation. This is now my new favorite Mexican place. Burrito Kinverlin was delicious. The service was great. The chips and salsa they give you as soon as you sit down was delicious also. The decor is great. This is a must go to place for food.
Very good meal, terrific service. Loved the Queso. Will return again for sure.
