I went tonight with a group of friends for a birthday party. I haven't been in several years. Our servers were exceptional and checked on us quite often. The food was pretty good. My friends liked their food. I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos. They were really tasty, but they didn't need so much avocado crema and aioli sriracha. Made it kind of wet. Everything else was perfect and I can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.
I have visited The Local several times while on vacation a few times a year in Florida. I had recently got back to Chicago when my friend that I have been to the local with before was there and had a problem with his credit card. He asked me to cover his tab. I asked for the bartender and chatted with him. His name is Nick. I told Nick to cover my friends tab and to add a 25.00 tip onto it and close it out. Nick agreed to do so. A few weeks later, I received my credit card statement and noticed there was a 200.00 tip added on to the 105.00 tab! I immediately called the local and talked with the manager Joe. Joe was great at first and promised to credit my card for the 175.00 fradulant charge Nick had added to the bill. After a week went by with no action I called back and Nick was on leave with a new baby. The girl I spoke with said she had talked to Joe and that I should dispute the charge with my credit card company. I did but since I wasnt present at the time of the charge, I had no receipt of the transaction except for my credit card statement showing it. She told me to send a copy of my statement to Alex, territory manager so she could look it up and get me a receipt of the transaction for my credit card company. I did that and sent a long email of explanation along with the copy of my statement. I received no response. I sent a follow up email and again no response. It is clear to me this establishment is run very unprofessionally and dishonestly. It was a 175.00 lesson for me. I live my life morally and honestly, it is clear to me these people do not. I will never set foot in that place again and I hope those who read this review do the same. There are many upstanding restaurant businesses in Palm Harbor, this is not one of them. Stay away.
What an absolutely horrible experience. Came in about 530, the crowd wasn't bad. We were seated quickly. And that's where our good service ended. Ashley (dark hair with an arm full of tattoos), apparently there is 3 and I don't want the wrong one getting the bad heat. We were at our table for a little over 2 hours and she checked on us twice. Waited over a half hour for our food, I'm sure this was not the fault of the kitchen but our lowsy server. When our check came we were told our to go order was being boxed. 25 minutes later, no box. Our server has checked on the tables around us and made sure not to Make eye contact with us. We hollered to get her attention to which she had a very nasty attitude and told me there is no reason to 'yell at her' we paid our bill and went to the front to wait for our to go order. Another a couple minutes go by and we are told again that our order is being boxed and she is waiting on the kitchen. More time passes and she bring me our Togo and with a very snarky attitude tells me 'it was sitting in the table for you' after she had already seen us waiting and the front AND acknowledged us there. After a brief conversation with the manager I do belive this issue will be resolved and I do hope we can have an enjoyable experience next time. Our first time in and we were very disappointed.
I love this placement coming here for years they have some really great live music and some great happy hour specials the food is amazing for a bar I tried the meat loaf sliders and they were amazingly good this is a great place to get shithoused.. Highly recommend this place it’s safe plenty of parking if you get hammered you can leave your car parked in the parking lot and not worry about getting it towed very well lit I mean the place they do a great job keeping it clean.. bartenders are friendly and everyone seems really nice.. it has a huge outdoor seating area and indoor seating area.. Wheelchair accessible
Great drinks and food. The band was awesome in honor of the birthday party.Great time.
I love their beer flights and meatloaf :)) I wish they allowed pets outside or patio or even small pets in stroller. :( Overall, it’s a good experience and I will be back for another beer flight. :)
Great food and beers on tap. We both did the 4 beer sampler and had the tacos with the onion rings. By far the best onion rings we've had from coast to coast in the USA over the last 19 years. Will definitely be going back and bringing our visitors there also.
Despite the good food and the fair service, we won't be back. Their patio used to be dog friendly but not anymore. Sad.
It was a good experience first time enjoyed the craft local beers that they served and got a bunch of appetizers definitely going back!
Everything ordered was cold pizza crispy top mushy crust.. even the beer cheese dip was cold and really bland. I am super disappointed I live so close and wanted so badly to like it. Server was just awful, never checked on us unless we asked someone to get him.. I waited 15mins for him to ask if I wanted another drink... I was super disappointed. Fireball shrimp are NOT better than bang bang and served in a puddle of water.. not sauce. Just sad.
