I kept getting sick when I would drink hot sake here. We eventually came to realize the hot sake machine was filled with mold. They never stopped serving the sake though.
Don’t bother going here on a Tuesday night. Maybe the experience would have been better over the weekend. Tonight the service was awful. We sat in the bar area, since we didn’t want to eat hibachi food. We went for sushi. The three of us were given hibachi menus (?) and one sushi menu. The hostess walked away b4 we realized we needed more sushi menus. They were out of the Japanese beer we ordered. Really? We never got the waters we requested three times. (Not a shocker, since our server was completely stoned.) We ordered 5 sushi rolls, but only received 4 and they were all lumped on one plate. We had to determine which was which because one of our party is pregnant and can’t eat some of the rolls we ordered. The rolls were okay but not well made…they fell apart when you picked them up with chopsticks. Some also had to be altered because they were out of certain ingredients needed to make them. SMH. And all that for $90+. Save your money and find a better restaurant.
I've got to say this place is one of the best sushi joints in palm coast, the food is simply amazing and the service is beyond incredible. If you get the chance to try out the aj roll, it has got to be one of my personal favorites, besides that try out the hungry dragon. I can't forget to mention my boy aj, he's one of the friendliest and creative chefs in the buisness, treat him with respect and he will absolutely take care you. Overall this buisness is amazing and Id recommend it to anyone who loves sushi.
So we made reservations for 730 at 5 PM when we arrived we were told that we were left a voicemail message that the chef had canceled and that we would be delayed by 40 minutes well unfortunately we did receive a phone call but we never received a voicemail so upon arrival the hostess seemed a bit upset that we politely were disappointed the manager came out and spoke to us and was willing to comp for dinner but we would still have to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a table at this point we decided you know let’s go to Ormond Beach they had a higher rating and I’ll tell you what they knocked our socks off. Amazing service great atmosphere amazing chef and great food. Stay away from Palm Coast sadly because I’m a resident here!
Jason was the best Hibachi chef I have ever seen! Super friendly, funny, and great show! He was great with both the kids and the adults. My daughter wants to go back for her birthday in April and request him. The sushi rolls were delicious too.
We were a group of 14. We were seated with reservations rather quickly. Jack our Chef did a great job.It was rather cold outside unusual but cold. Inside was just as cold we all had to keep our coats on, as did most everyone we saw that was seated. Many were complaining of the cold inside and we asked that the temp be adjusted, if it was we couldn’t tell. Our drinks came just before our meal was being prepared. The second drinks came as we were preparing to check out though requested much earlier. The bar did not seem very crowded at all.I think the census of most of our group was to find a different restaurant for our Friday dining.
Ordered 80$ worth of cold hibachi tonight that was suppose to come with soup and salad. Got no soups. No sauces what so ever. The previous owners were better at least you got what you payed for. Used to spend tons of money here. Won't make the mistake of wasting my families time or money again ever placing to go orders here. Such a shame to have a family favorite ruined by poor service and mediocre food.
Sushi is amazing! MUST TRY THE AJ ROLL. AJ the sushi chef is great - loved his recommendations. Ask for the mussels - it's a specialty item yummm! New fav spot.
After speaking to the manager and the chef, your better of going to Panda Express. The quality of the food is the same and they definitely care more about customer satisfaction at panda. I was really hoping this place was going to be better after changing hands. Not so much.
Love the sushi bar! AJ is a great chef and makes the best specials! mussels and his signature roll is a MUST! YUM!
