Some of the best ribs I’ve ever had and the potato salad was amazing also.
This was our first time coming here and definitely will not be our last! John the manager and his staff was exceptionally friendly! John was very helpful going over the menu his recommendations was right on point. My husband had the Rib platter, Baked Beans and Collard Greens and I had the Brisket sandwich , Fries and the Red Velvet Cheese Cake. Everything was finger licking good! Best BBQ I've had in a long time! I highly recommend this place!
I have a relative in Florida and every time visit I eat at Captains multiple times. I have tried many things on the menu and everything is simply the best!! Their Cuban sandwich is better than any I've had in Cuban restaurants. The authentic Cuban bread (the manager told me the lengths they go through to get it!) is grilled to perfection, and the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Their pulled pork, turkey, kielbasa, and burnt ends are all delicious beyond compare. I've tried every side item and three desserts and they were all out of this world. The green beans were my favorite! For those reviewers who mentioned them running out of BBQ, please realize that this is a good thing! They roast and smoke their meat for hours and hours, so they are going to run out sometimes. I think it's awesome that they don't sacrifice quality. The environment is beautiful too, with views of the water and loads of wildlife. Don't miss out!
We stopped by on a whim. Very happy we did. We each got the 3 sliders sampler - smoked turkey, pulled pork and brisket - plus 2 sides. Mac & cheese, coleslaw and potato salad were tasty. The macaroni salad was too sweet and used shell macaroni instead of elbow which I prefer. Nice to sit and watch the boat traffic pass by as you eat your meal.
Always love the laid back vibe and amazing foods. I can’t get enough of the ribs, collards and beet salad…. I’ve almost tried every dessert and have not been disappointed. The Brownie Marble Cheesecake is my favorite. Only thing better than the food is the amazing staff and service..
In the last 6 months I have ordered 4 take outs from Captain's BBQ. After the 3rd messed order I said no more. Stupid me tied again & placed a take out order today. This time I checked it in the restaurant. Yep, screwed up. I like to support local restaurants but enough is enough. One time I was ordering fatty/marbled brisket I mentioned to one of the owners I had not been able to get the fatty brisket. He said to me "if you don't like it go somewhere else". What a jerk.
We have been there twice and both times they run out of BBQ!! Really!!!!!! A BBQ place with no BBQ.. We was there early 5:00. Stupid!!!!!
What a surprise and delightful lunch. The atmosphere at Bings Landing is old Florida; water, sand, boats, smiles.This is a very laid back restaurant that's so good the locals arrive prior to opening at 11:30.We had burnt ends, grilled cheese with brisket, a chicken sandwich, and a variety of sides. Nothing disappointed us. It was all delicious, especially the burnt ends, which had just enough burnt and just enough sweet bbq sauce.Come with an appetite and you won't be disappointed.
The meat at this place is so dry it's impossible to swallow. Can't remember anything this bad in a long time. Really disgusting.
Captain BBQ has great food and quite a few options. Their kid menu is good as well. The atmosphere is nice the staff is as well. If in the area I definitely recommend it. There’s also a park/playground and some historical things to check out on the property.
