I decided not to get sushi which is always good at Yu-Mi but I just wasn't in the sushi mood. I ended up trying the chicken teriyaki lunch special. It was so good and lite. It came with just vegetables, although they did offer rice if you want it but I was looking for something lite. So If you are like me, and looking for something not so heavy for lunch this was amazing!
I found this little gem when first trying sushi. Its a smaller "hole in the wall" restaurant run by a Korean family trying to live the American dream. They handcraft exquisite, traditional sushi and Japanese/Korean inspired dishes.I am a huge foodie and have travelled for business around the world; eating at restaurants from Japan and China to Europe and South America.For 15 years, i've been eating sushi, but aside from Japan, no sushi, regardless of price and prestige of the restaurant compares to YUMI SUSHI. Its their rice, their quality, price and craftmanship all coming together.You can see the honor and pride they put into every dish. The same owner and friend have been making sushi for over 2 decades and I don't believe they've missed a day of work.This restaurant is easily a 5/5 in terms of food quality and taste.Please disregard comments about service, as Koreans are culturally different and do not fully understand the high expectations and needs of palm beach clients.I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially beginners looking for a way in to sushi... or pros whom just love sushi. Best sushi at the best price in all of Palm Beach Gardens! Their lunch specials are amazing. Their staff are all kind and very attentive.Pro-tip: Ask for lemon and sriracha to put in your miso soup!
Unimpressed would be my experience. Food was so so. Prices have gone up significantly from what you can find online. Sushi was all supposed to have sauce on it and when I got home, no sauce. When I called she said you have to ask for it? SMH it’s on the menu description… what else should I ask for. I expect to get the product that is advertised and described. I believe that was a lie and they just didn’t put the sauce in it. There are plenty of so so sushi places in the area that are just as good if not better.
Can't speak for the food but was kicked out due to a small Styrofoam cup that we brought In with coffee would rate the service zero since I got none.
As for going here the first time, I loved pretty much every part of it. The first time I got here, I was met by friendly staff that helped me a lot with a few things, and were relatively quick too! The Miso Soup is just so delightful, the way it tasted felt like it filled me up, but it gave me enough room for the main event...The Tempura Shimp Roll was pretty much everything I wanted, and more. However, the abundance of choices are pretty great for anyone wanting to try something new.I topped it all off with Green Tea Ice Cream, which was surprisingly pretty good too! The one thing I liked too was the Staff, they were very nice and pretty direct.Overall, I'm glad to have this place near me that serves awesome food. Finally my Japanese Cravings have been fulfilled! I can't wait to return with others!

Small place. Very good sushi, according to my family. I don't eat sushi but like the teriyaki chicken. Recommend.
Oir family has loved Yu-Mi since we moved here 8 years ago. Great prices. Great portions. Great quality. It's the first sushi place we recommend to everyone.
