We've been going to snug forever & love it
Perfect atmosphere to enjoy a drink and play some pool! Chicken wings are delicious. A bit pricey but worth it.
Has to literally be the WORST experience I’ve ever had! Since my husband went to WV and having a current Class of 23 WVU student, we were super excited to visit the “Snuggery” ( aka owned and operated by a former WVU ALUM) we live 45 minutes away and wanted to show some support. Because we have always wanted to go for as long as we can remember we decided to celebrate our child’s 18th birthday there. Made reservations at 7 for 14 on a Thursday night. Once we arrived, there was no one who greeted us at the door. No hostess stand. No hellos. No we will be right with you. No nothing. We noticed our reserved tables and we seated ourselves. Once we sat we were greeted by a lady who took our drink orders and asked us for a credit card for the table. A credit card? Like you want to hold my cc before we’re even served??? I found that strange so when I questioned the reason I was given an attitude so even though I NEVER let anyone hold my cc I reluctantly gave it to her. She told me where it would be place and I was welcomed to “watch” it if that made me feel better. I gave it to her chalking it up as “there must have been a problem before and that’s why”. We were then visited by someone who was either the manager or acting manager to explain “HOUSE” rules. We were told that no children were allowed after 8 (meanwhile kitchen didn’t open until 730?) due to inappropriate behavior and language. But because we were having a birthday party they would extend ours to 9. I explained we have no children here and that we were here to celebrate an 18th birthday. ( legal adult) Conversation and smiles later things were kosher.Moving on we ordered dinner from the server who was also attending the bar. (Turns out there were only 2 severs/bar mates working.) Obviously because it was a slow night. Food was great and service was ok too. We were having a great night. Played a little shuffle board, darts, and pool and literally at 9pm the server/bar mate booted my 18 year old from the pool table. she said he needed to go back to the table because he was underage. Underage to play pool? So I again asked for an explanation why he would be denied to play and was told it was “house “ rules. I explained to her that that was not explained to me and that I can totally understand if it was a busy night and there were people lined up to play but that was not the case.even if he was rowdy and rambunctious I would understand but again that was not the case. The fact that there were 20 people there and 16 of them were mine made zero since to me. I also said I was not told when we showed up that after 8 my 18 year old couldn’t participate in a game of pool, darts or shuffle… I asked to speak to the manager. It didn’t go over well. She stomped off, spoke to the other bartender/server and came back with straight attitude and said I could leave if I didn’t like it. I asked for my check, her name, the managers name and owners name. She said “Women you can google it”. Say WHAT? Did you just call me women? “Yes I did and if you don’t leave I’m calling the cops”. LOL. So few more words were exchanged. Cops were called. And for the first time in my LIFE I didn’t leave a tip. Overall experience here was a total disappointment. So much so I had to write a review about it and I rarely do reviews. Rarely. The sad part about the entire experience is there was no professionalism. Wether I’m right or wrong the people you leave in control of your business can forever taint it. I promise you not anyone from our party will ever visit this place again. And that’s too bad because our Enthusiasm was so high for this place to be left with nothing but a vision of trash. Touché
Great place to hangout after work with coworkers. Good happy hours price and drinks.
Great drinks and prices. Place would be a perfect dive bar if the staff were more engaging. I'm not saying the service is horrible because it's not. Just saying the staff looked like they really didn't wanna be there. Will definitely be back!
Twan is a great Bartender, always making me laugh.
This place sucks. The bartender can't remember your order (2 times) and doesn't even know how much it costs. The soup isn't even fresh. I saw them have to microwave it. Its more like "soup of the other day". Sports on TV is ONLY what the locals watch. No, it's not like they show different sports on different TVs. I wouldn't recommend this place. I'm from the real South Florida, where you see everything. This place is another stuck up northern dive that's not awesome. No need to visit people. You're not missing anything.
Great place for a got cold beer
This you place used to be the best place in town busy and fun now it's all brand new and a dud no people in there staff is not very friendly well when you leave a big tip they are .Was a good old rundown bar with a lot of history now they tried to make it too fancy nothing there
Awesome menu prepared by an unsung hero of a chef. If there's a special, you can order it without concern that it'll be great!
