Yesterday I had a spare 20 minutes between appointments - and a craving for a glass of wine and some of the delicious food at Sal's Italian Ristorante at Legacy Place in Palm Beach Gardens.I was in and out of this great little laid-back restaurant in time for my next appointment.A glass of Cabernet and a lunch portion of My Wife’s Favorite Salad (mixed greens, candied walnuts, sliced strawberries and cherry tomatoes, feta cheese and grilled chicken strips) was a little more than I could eat, so I took the rest for later.I’d forgotten to ask earlier for some of Sal’s tasty little garlic knots, so my waitress put three of these little twists and three pats of butter in my bag.I’m almost embarrassed to admit that once in my vehicle, I ripped open each of those garlic knots one by one, added a whole pat of butter to each, and enjoyed them while driving.Almost embarrassed to admit. But they were delicious - still warm from the oven, crispy on the outside and almost meltingly tender inside! The richness of the butter with the mild bite of garlic was perfection!I’ll be back when I can take my time to enjoy a pizza, an entree or one of the daily specials. I hope you’ll check them out, too!
Seriously - for an Italian place the wings are excellent!! The pepperoni bread is great, the meatballs are supurb, can't praise this place enough!
I have given Sal's 3 strikes now there OUT. I attempted to register my concerns with management, what a mistake. I was told in no uncertain words - what you get is what you get- There are many choices in Palm Beach County. I suggest strongly to NOT choose Sal's. There sauce taste like it comes from a Jar and believe me if you want an attitude this is the place. IM cone ! Terry B. West Palm Beach
Fresh off the plane from Washington State, we stopped in for a quick bite at Sal’s in Palm Beach Garden. It was my father-in-law, wife, and I and we all got the lunch special (2 slices and a drink). The slices were big, thin, and greasy. Everything about the slice was delicious minus the amount of grease and the cheese sliding off the pizza. It hit the spot and the guy who took our order was very friendly. I would recommend this spot for a quick, tasty, and inexpensive lunch.
Amazing food great atmosphere! Fast and happy staff a new favorite.
I love the meatball sub. Always a winner! Wife and I enjoy the pizza here, as well. I dined in, and the waitress was friendly and on the ball. Recommend Sal's!
We had delivery. Pasta was so-so. Large portion, al dente, but not tasty. It seemed to lack some Italian herbs. Eggplant was very disappointing. Waaaay overloaded with bread crumbs and mostly a layer of unmelted cheese on top. I realize that sometimes you lose something in delivery, but this was totally unacceptable ... especially for a local chain. The Soup of the Day was loaded with veggies and little meatballs, but not loaded with flavor. Antipasto for 1 was enough for two because of a lot of chopped lettuce ... a little light on the meat and cheese ... although we did get a black olive. Not worth the price. My wife thinks it was a bad day -- she is right.
Placed an order on their website, delivery said 45 minutes. After an hour I called and they said they were on the way, then I waited 30 more minutes still no food. I live less than 5 minutes away. Called back and cancelled order after it being almost an hour late. Hopefully refund is returned. Lost a customer by this.
Called in a pick up pizza and the person on the phone seemed to not understand what I was ordering. As a result my pizza was wrong even though I repeated it many times. However, manager was very pleasant and refunded me no problem. Still very pleased with this establishment.
Had the spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna on a special. Both very good and plentiful. Will definitely go back.
