I have heard fantastic rumblings of Coolinary, located in Palm Beach Gardens for quite a while, so it was about time I made my way there for a meal. It’s not around the corner from me, so I had some high hopes that it would be worth the ride, and Chef Lipman and his team did not disappoint. Located in a strip mall a short distance off 95, the restaurant is comprised of a bar area (The Parched Pig) which was jam packed this Saturday evening. As well as the dining room, aka, Coolinary. I do enjoy sitting at a chefs counter when possible to watch the hard work and dedication that goes into these meals. The server was very attentive and friendly offering some of her favorites which we decided to try. We started with the shrimp and grit croquettes along with the cauliflower gratin. The croquettes were skillfully prepared and while enjoyable, we’re a bit confusing for me served atop a marinara sauce. It did just didn’t make a whole lot of sense imo. The gratin however, was delicious. A huge helping heaping portion of cheesy, flavorful and tenderly cooked cauliflower served with several crispy pieces of speck made it a dish worthy of repeating. Moving on to the pork chop and pictured skirt steak. Both of which were delicious. The pork chop was juicy and grilled perfectly. Served with a lovely apple hash and sweet potato purée. The prime skirt steak was coated in an espresso bean dusting and moist as can be. I really enjoyed it. The sautéed Brussels that accompanied the generous piece could have been a bit crispier for me, but still rather enjoyable. Sadly there was no room for dessert, all of which looked dreamy. Will have to certainly indulge next visit.

So I’ve had to edit my original review because a lot has changed since I left my raving review three years ago. I still think the food here is pretty good, especially compared to the terrible choices we have in the area, but I also think that the innovative menu and great atmosphere that made me fall in love with this place originally is unfortunately gone. They changed locations from the super cozy, inviting and intimate place they had before to this very cold, sterile modern new dining area that just reminds me of every other sub-par fancy chain restaurant (i.e. seasons 52) I’ve ever been too. The menu seems to have changed as well (as far as I remember) aside from their chicken and waffles and their daily specials menu that used to have so many unique dishes rotating no longer exists. They still have specials but it seems like it’s the same three things, just served slightly differently and rarely deviating from the formulaic approach they seem to be taking. I used to enjoy sitting by the main cooking area and watching the cooks do their thing. I don’t know, now it just seems like the passion that launched this place and solidified it as one of my favorite places to eat is no longer there. Maybe I’m just jaded and it’s me but that’s my current stance.

Absolutely outstanding. We both enjoyed it complete dinners. From beverage service to dessert our server was fantastic. The quality of food was great and decor compliments each other. It was a great find! ? Delicious! If you have found my review helpful please give me a thumbs up ? and feel free to follow me for future reviews.

Mrs. M and I were traveling back to NJ from the Gulf Coast. We stopped to see family and friends on the East Coast. Our friend recommended this place and since it was a Monday we decided to try to get together early to get a table for five, When I went on the website the only available reservation was for 8:00 PM or later. Two of our friends decided not to go with us but three of us went at 4:00 to see if we could get a table. An early, earlybird. When we got there the place was empty. The Host asked if we had a reservation and we said no that none were available on the website. He said he would see if he could find us a table. The place wqs empty! He came back to say yes he could seat us. We had a nice, if a little pricy, meal. When we left around 6:00 it was still mostly empty. I have never run a restaurant and never will but I'm guessing there is more profit in having tables filled with diners than the opposite.

Let me start by saying the service was amazing. Our server was attentive, made great recommendations and popped by to refill water, clear plates and get our take on drinks at just the right times. The menu at Coolinary is creative and offers a little bit of everything. To start, we had the smoked fish dip which was beautifully plated and the best fish dip I have ever had. For dinner, I ordered the pork chop and my husband ordered the shrimp pasta. The pork chop was unlike any I have had before, perfectly cooked and seasoned like a steak. The shrimp pasta was absolutely delicious with a light cream sauce. Even though we were stuffed, we got the banana pudding cake and all I can say is HEAVEN! We will be back sooner rather than later!

If you’re new to town or just visiting…let me be clear. This is one of the best places in town!!!! Dont second guess yourself. Get there, have a drink and enjoy some of the tastiest food around!!! Now is not the time to second guess yourself….drive there right now and thank me later!!!!

Best dining experience I've had in a long time. If you are looking for great food and a fun vibe this is the place. The staff was amazing from the moment we walked in to the time we left. I will definitely be back.

Excellent service at bar and table. Very avant garde menu, enjoyed exploring it, and having two excellent entrees. We look forward to visiting again in the near future .

Coolinary Café is an amazing restaurant the food is exceptional . especially the chicken and waffle dish I also had the pork chop chop dish. It’s Soho chic I would definitely recommend. Sal our waiter was delightful.

My favorite restaurant in Palm Beach County, possibly ever. Every week they manage to bring a new menu using the best local produce to create some of the most inventive and downright delicious dishes I have ever had. The amount of times I have audibly “Mmmd” at this place is too many to count. I suggest sharing plates as well as getting dessert.
