Service was prompt but I will say the food without a doubt has MSG in it as I got a severe headache after about 15 min of only eating 1 piece of jerk chicken out my lunch plate. I didn't finish it at all as I got really nauseous after about 25 min and threw up. Unfortunately I won't be visiting again. This was my first time having such a reaction to any restaurant and I've been to many places.
We stumbled upon this little restaurant and were pleasantly surprised with the wonderful food. I had the Jamaican brown stew chicken, served with rice and cabbage. It was authentic and delicious. The person taking our order was very friendly and accommodating. They let us sit in the dining area, despite having it closed, I suspect since COVID began. It’s no frills, served in a carry out container, but definitely worth the stop.
The food is nasty just like the attitude I got when I picked up my oxtail dinner. I would not recommend and the cook needs to be fired.
When I am in town have the taste buds up for jerk chicken Mike's at Strawberry have you salivating...
This is the only place I get my Caribbean food from. Mike's food is very good I wouldn't go no other place but here.
Great food! I wish the portions were a bit bigger but that's just be being greedy! :)
The food here was nasty. First thing the jerk chicken was out the fridge warm up and still cold inside, then there was actually powder seasoning(paprika) all over the meat. Secondly the man who took the order had no personality and was way too rude for my taste. It was a waste of money for me. I work too hard for my money. Very disappointed, will never attempt to go back there. It's garbage
The man who works here is rude…. Instead of serving us he directed us to another Caribbean restaurant, we came here to place an order for fish and was told we had to call ahead which we did called 3xs no answer, this was told to the guy and he said oh maybe I was outside we left and went else where I will never go to this restaurant AGAIN! Not the best Caribbean place in Palm Bay.
We got take out a few nights ago and loved every bite! Jerk chicken, oxtail, goat. It was all so savory and tasty. And everyone was so friendly and kind. Call ahead before you go to see what they have that night because it varies. Definitely worth it. Was visiting Palm and a friend recommended. Pleasant surprise. Food has great flavor. Love oxtail and jerk chicken. Sorry they did not have any patties. Did both dine-in and carry out. Met owners. Very pleasant and accomodating
Called to order 3 platters. Man who answered immediately told me the 4 things they had “ready”. I was then hung up on when I asked about the sides. I called back and he was very rude, and said “I just told you what we have, what do you want miss” in a very rude tone. I told him that I didn’t want anything anymore because of his rude tone and to have a goodnight. They will NEVER get service from me.
