This is one of the best restaurants around they have the best food. Always fresh and cooked to order. I have never had a bad meal here just love it.
We LOVE Metro Diner and have never been disappointed with a meal. The staff is great and very attentive. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of changes that make going less the perfect for me. I know it sounds picky, but I often get soup and salad. I always would get extra boiled egg on my salad; however, I just learned they other day that they no longer put boiled eggs on salads. They did encourage me to call ahead and let them know I'll be in and they will gladly boil some eggs for me. That was super kind and unexpected. The other big disappointment is I just found out they are not serving the Garden Vegetable soup. It was on the board as a daily special (sometimes). It was my all time favorite soup as it wasn't heavy it had great flavor. Every dish we have had has been above our expectations.
The first time I ate at Metro Diner was the one off 436 and Howell Branch. I absolutely hated it. One morning, my wife was dying for chicken and waffles. I remember reading somewhere their chicken and waffles were supposedly good, so I was willing to give it another go and try a different location off Red Bug Lake/Mitchell Hammock. Total 180 experience. Service was prompt, beer was cold, staff was friendly, and food was light years ahead of the 436/Howell Branch location. The breakfast burger was cooked to perfection, something hard for me to say as it's almost impossible for anyone to nail a medium rare burger. The wife's chicken and waffles were stupid delicious. If you're gonna go, go to this one. You won't be disappointed.
Nice local diner - quick, home-made food that doesn't break the bank.The staff is really nice - we know them (Jennifer, Dana, etc.) by first name.The only thing I would note is that there are different cooks that all make or spice the food slighlty differently - it's always good food, but sometimes it's absolutely amazing food! When it's done right, Metro has *the best* fried chicken sandwich out there, hands down.If you are in the area, pop by and have a nice meal - be sure to check out the chalkboard to see what the daily specials are as well.
First, I'm a fan of metro dinners. But this one in oviedo Florida should be closed to protect the restSeven guests, place was not busy, waiter was good but that was the end of good.Forever for the food to come out. Steak and onions came with no onions. A side of rye bread, told they were out of rye. Ordered a bacon, egg cheese on a croissant came out on rye toast. Took it back and threw it on a croissant, now its cold. Omelet with no mushrooms, you guessed it, came out w/mushrooms. Never had this problem in any of the other shops.

My wife and I eat here at oviedo metro all the time. Oviedo Metro and the food is so good. And the waitresses are all cool and the cooks put love into their cooking. If anyone leaves a bad review they must not be at the oviedo metro this place is one of my favorite places to eat. We Love you all. Yum!
Excellent!!! I traveled through the area & stopped to grab chicken salad. As I walked passed the Metro Diner, I decided to skip the chicken salad and give the diner a try. What a great decision. The food was amazing! I ordered the 3 egg breakfast with bacon, hash browns & white toast. Everything was delicious and the toast, omg! My friend ordered a grilled ham & cheese with fries and my step-son ordered pancakes. The restaurant was clean. Service was great, we were seated immediately & orders taken. There were other options on the menu besides breakfast. Also, the bathrooms and parking lot was clean. I love a tidy restaurant inside and out. I highly recommend.
This was our first visit to Metro Diner so we really didn’t know what to expect. They exceeded all our expectations: great customer service, amazing food, and just a great atmosphere. My wife and I had an issue where we both forgot our credit cards. ??♂️ It was worked out and we were able to pay but to say that Jennifer was incredibly understanding is a massive understatement. Jennifer went to all tables and made sure all customers were pleased and everybody was happy. I would HIGHLY recommend eating here!
Great breakfast today! The place was packed and manager Jen and her crew hustled to keep everything flowing smoothly. Every restaurant should have a "Jen"!
