Went with a friend and we decided to share two entrees and expressed that to our server. She had our food split in separate plates to include the sides and even our bill was split down the middle. It makes it easier than splitting ourselves. The flatbread special was fantastic and the mahi tacos were good. The mahi was a tad dry but I expect that from mahi. However, the flavors were excellent and I would love to go back to Marlow's.
The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were less than desirable today. While the charge was removed, to add insult to injury was the server Claudia's reaction. Despite being tipped MORE THAN 20% of the ticket as if the charge not been removed, she treated us with a great deal of disdain. WE WON'T RETURN
Great location. Food is excellent. No long wait times to get in. Comfortable seating (indoors and outdoors). Reasonable pricing. Friendly and courteous staff.
I will start by saying I don’t normally write reviews. Marlow’s is an awesome place if you are interested in not supporting chain restaurants. I have been in Orlando for more than a month and this is my third visit. The Chef (Justen) does an amazing job, in presentation and taste and the staff are great. I don’t think the name does the place justice, they serve amazing food, the bar is fully stocked and have great service too. If you are in Orlando and want some great food coupled with amazing service check out Marlow’s…
So this is my new favorite restaurant. I know, I know... 2 years of pandemic and being stuck at home and we finally get to go out to dinner and I'm smitten with the first place I go...Seriously, the food was freakin' delicious! We got an appetizer - it was awesome. The meal comes - awesome. We had desert - awesome. Everything was so good. Oh, and did I mention they have happy hour on Fridays? The service was top notch too. Our server Lucas was the kind of server who understands timing. Just as we needed a refill on drinks, he was there. When we were ready to order, I look up - he's standing at the table. We're pretty easy guests, but still he was on top of everything. The floor manager Kat swung by, friendly as all hell, and chatted with us. She wanted to make sure we were good, which we were. I'm not certain if it was Kat or Lucas who suggested downloading their app because new users get a discount on their first meal. So we did that and saved like ten bucks! And the sent us home with two homemade brownies in out to-go bag as a thank you. We've already made plans to go back when family comes into town next month. So if you HATE delicious food and awesome service, don't go to Marlow's - save the spot for someone who isn't a crazy person.EDIT: My wife's birthday took us to Marlow's for a second time. The second visit was definitely different from the first, unfortunately. The food was still awesome, but there were a few *basic* things that weren't up to a 5 star standard...For instance, wine came to the table in a dirty glass. Wine glasses are notoriously difficult to clean (because of lip gloss and waxy stuff like that), but still - gross.I happened to notice the salt shaker didn't have the top screwed on. Maybe a stupid prank by the previous customer. Regardless, when i went to tighten it, the inside and outside looked as if it had never been cleaned. I wiped it down (inside and outside of both glass container and top) and the amount of crud was pretty disgusting.Like I said *basic* problems - it's been 2 rough pandemic years - new managers, new employees, new problems...The biggest (and most annoying) issue was that their taps were down. Now I'm not saying that I can't enjoy a good meal without a delicious beer or three... I am saying we got to the restaurant specifically to hit the end of happy hour, so we could enjoy a couple of decently priced beverages.Unfortunately, the beer taps that were included in the happy hour specials, were not working. So I could buy any bottle beer I like at the standard (non-happy hour) price. The server asked the floor manager, who gave him permission to offer two (I would call) low-end domestic beers at a discount.I did appreciate the offer, as I know they could have offered nothing for the inconvenience. But that is not a 5 star solution (maybe not even a 4 star solution). We actually have family coming into town and they've shown interest in going to Marlow's - so maybe i'll have another edit in a week or two.Until then, Marlow's is a 4 (down from my previous 5) stars.
This is one of my favorite go to places! I love to visit. The food is amazing! I am always very impressed by the staff. They are all extremely well trained, polite, and very friendly.
Came in last night to celebrate my daughters birthday and my experience was amazing despite the technical difficulties I was told the restaurant was having at the time. The server was very knowledgeable on both food and bar, the meal was delicious per usual but what stood out to me this time around was the mouth watering bread pudding with an ice cream scoop on top. Something happened to their system and we were unable to leave the restaurant for about 35 minutes. Our server Victoria was very kind and very helpful throughout the crisis, much more than anyone else who came up to us to “help”, and kept finding ways to make sure we werestill happy, thank you Victoria! Will defiantly be coming back!
great staff and delicious food!
Food's consistently good. My favorite is the filet and the salmon. Curbside takeout works well and is very convenient including pay at your car with a mobile system so it gets you out faster. Dining in the ambiance is relaxed and servers are nice.
Went to this “tavern” with my wife for a nice meal because we had been before and really enjoyed it. Well this time they let dogs sit in the outdoor dinning area, we also had families with children. Next thing you know we had dogs constantly barking and babies crying. It was awful !!! Manager did nothing for us and did not apologize! Never going back ! Great for loud screaming babies and barking dogs.
