This was a favorite, but something has happened. My last take out order was this past Sunday. I placed an online order as usual. I requested that each roll be boxed separately - sometimes they are hard to identify. My order was to be ready by 6:10 p.m.- I was to receive an email that it was ready, as usual. I left my home, and waited in the parking lot for the ready email - no email. I pulled up to the drive- through window at the given time- order not ready. I was asked to pull around into the parking lot, that my order would be ready in 5 - 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later, my order finally came. I dropped the order off at home, needing to pick my child up from the mall. In my absence, my husband had to return the location - no soy sauce, wasabi, no chop sticks. This is is our go to place for sushi - very disappointed.
This was my first and probably only time eating here.. When we arrived, the place appeared clean and the menu was extensive. We ordered a new Jalapeño Hamachi and a Rainbow Roll. We also got steak hibachi and sake. The staff was super friendly. We first sat at a booth near the front window but quickly moved because the entire window and seat were swarming with what I think were termites. We sat at a middle table that was quite sticky. Our food came out quickly and it wasn't bad. For essentially $30 a person, the quality could have been much better. The place was so hot I was sweating throughout the meal. We finished up and left. The 3 stars are because the staff was very attentive for a quick sushi place (not restaurant). They were constantly checking on us. But probably won't be back. Hopefully changes can be made for future customers to enjoy the atmosphere more.

Oh no !! Your not going to make yourself like you care !!! I stood there and told you and the server that I had beef in the tofu dish and The server tried to deny that. You made no apologies then and said nothing !!!!! I paid $50. For two dishes that’s expensive. I expect better.Been here several times and they always bring out the food at different times for my family. NOT vegetarian friendly. Be carful they cook the tofu with the beef. Don’t really care about customers. They also ask for a tip before they serve you ! Not going back.
Nice ambience, friendly service, quick and delicious! Will come back to try other menus.
We used to like this place ….. We got a California roll that was basically cucumber and a very small piece of avocado. The string piece of imitation crab was so ridiculously small that I could barely see it. I pointed it out to the staff and they were like ….. Oh well sorry! Clearly this place is losing credibility and we will just go elsewhere. Don’t waste your time or money!! Customer service is lacking and the food is subpar!
I’ve been ordering from Kyoto for over a year and will continue doing so. My meal tonight was so good I had to get on here and give the staff here kudos.My thing is ordering takeout from Kyoto. It’s extremely convenient. Order online, get an estimated pickup time, show up on time, and grab your meal through your car window. An entire hibachi meal if you want. The staff do a great job wrapping everything so make sure to tip them.They just added a Yellowtail (hamachi) jalapeño appetizer to the menu and it was GREAT! They gave me thick slices too! I was so impressed!The eel roll was terrific as well. It comes with 6 pieces even though the picture only shows 5 ?Look at the picture of my steak hibachi dinner! The portions were big, and the steak was cooked perfectly. Nice and tender with a little pink in there. I recommend upgrading to the NY Strip…it’s worth it.The staff at Kyoto in Oviedo are quick, punctual, friendly, and do a great job overall. They are a well-oiled machine. Keep it up!
Usually love this place but was pretty disappointed with last nights meal. Ordered two rolls of sushi that both had some bones in it. We also ordered boba tea that didn’t have any sugar added and tasted like water. The service was really amazing and I’ve had better experiences in the past, but finding 3 bones in the sushi really sucked.
Food taste good always but don’t get the shrimp and chicken combo when I got it for lunch they gave me 3 shrimp! Basically I paid $8 extra for 3 shrimp that’s ridiculous.
The food from here never disappoints , always taste good super fresh and they give you what you pay for every single time! My go to spot for hibachi and sushi since it's so affordable
