Awesome food and atmosphere! We sat in the gazebo and our server was Quinn. Awesome server! Very attentive. The Southern fried chicken was fabulous. Beautiful gazebo setting. Valet was adorable too. All in all a great experience. Will definitely return.
First time at this beyond awesome restaurant. Teresa was our Server, and she exceeded all of my expectations. It has been a long time since we have felt so welcomed. She started out with some of the incredible history of the building and made us feel right at home. I recommend the fried chicken as it was cooked to perfection. For dessert, the berry cobbler with ice cream is now my all time favorite! Great job, Rose Villa! Can't wait to visit again!!!
Simply amazing. Our group got lobster Mac, deviled eggs, green tomatoes for appetizers. All delicious but lobster Mac and tomatoes stood out as exceptional! I got the chicken pot pie. Absolutely amazing. We loved this place and it’s history and decor.
If you’re ever in the area, please do yourself a favor and stop here. I’m biased but the Fried Chicken is simply divine and the biscuits are just perfect! My friends had the Mac n Cheese and the Lobster Mac&Cheese and they couldn’t talk! It’s a foodie’s delight and the ambience makes it only better The service is exceptional, we met the chef and got invited back for an ‘all you can eat’ chicken dinner which was even better cos we had more food! Hoping I go back to Florida just so I can stop at Rose’s villa
Wonderful place! The chicken pot pie is fabulous. The berry cobbler ala mode is so good. Service is always excellent. We love Rose Villa.
Severe shell shock. Thinks he’s Ethel Merman. When I saw this place was a pink house, I knew I had to go. I did not expect it to be sooooooo wonderful. We sat in the gazebo, which was quite lovely and private. We both got specials, the swordfish and the lamb. Excellent! Before I had my meal I ordered a warm brussel sprout Cesar salad unlike anything I’ve ever had. Loved it! And the Lemontini pink drink was so wonderful! Our waitress Theresa (spelling) took very good care of us, she was pleasant, helpful, not pushy. The whole experience was excellent and we will definitely go back.
We had the most amazing lunch outside in the gazebo. We started with deliciously spicy bloody Mary’s, Deviled eggs, and fried green tomatoes. For lunch we enjoyed a Cuban, fish tacos, and the most amazing burger. Excellent service as always. I’ve always loved rose villa and will definitely be back!
a lovely experience, the house was beautiful. dining is in several rooms so the noise level is low. they also have outdoor dining. we choose the gazebo as the weather was perfect .the the whole venue is surrounded by lovely flowers and hedges. food was delicious. had their corn and squash soup ,the famous fried chicken and collard greens. all were delicious. the pot liquor from the greens was cornbread dipping amazing. cocktails a little pricy at $13 . my dinner mates agreed that it was a great meal.
Went to dinner on a Sunday evening and sat on the porch. I met 2 of my girlfriends there who were already seated and had cocktails. I arrived and waited 15-20 minutes before our young male server came to our table apologizing for the long wait and took my drink order. I ordered the blueberry lemon martini which is excellent. It did take a bit for our drinks to come but was well worth the wait. We put in our appetizers and salads and those came out very good. Service was a bit slow to take our dinner order but we were alright with the slower pace. The 2 star review comes from the nightmare experience of the dinner portion of the meal. I ordered the sea bass my friend ordered the same the other friend went with the pork chop which she said was very good. Both my friend and my fish was cold and fishy. I have ordered fish in many different restaurants and have ordered sea bass numerous times it should not be fishy. The fish was absolutely awful bland except the fishy flavor which tells me it is not fresh and is on it's way out. I took a tiny bit off of the corner of the fish to taste it and when the waiter came back explained to him that my fish is not very good and may I please order the pork chop instead. That's where the server's attitude changed he instantly tells me what is wrong with it and I explained it is fishy and not good. He then said that he doesn't think he can take it off of the check where I explained that I have not eaten it and it is not good it's fishy and I am not paying for food that I have not eaten. The server then took the dish away and comes back a few minutes later with the same fish telling me that they are not taking it off of the check and it would be different if there was something wrong with it. I again explained that there is something wrong with it that it is fishy and cold when it got to the table. My friend also did not like her fish had the same issue with it and expressed to the server that it was not good but said she would suffer through it. The server did nothing. Let her suffer through eating it all because she didn't want to argue with him like I had to argue with him. The server then said I could not have the pork chop or order anything else because the kitchen was closed. It was 8. They said the last table seating was 7:30. Why would you close your kitchen right after meals being brought to the table. What if something needed to be remade or if something is wrong or cooked to the wrong temperature etc. So basically I could not have anything to eat because the kitchen was closed and so I was left to watch everyone else eat their food while I had some side potatoes and a fried chicken thigh my friend gave me. My friend who also ordered the same fish dish and complained nothing was done by the server to make her happy. I was brought out a card with a free appetizer for my next visit since I didn't get to eat. They finally after I threatened to call my credit card company took my fish that I did not eat off of my check. My friend still paid for hers even though she barely touched it. We were then rushed to hurry up because they were closing when we wanted to have dessert the menu is completely different from online with only 2 desserts offered. My friend ordered one berry cobbler that they did take off her check. My friend then seen 2 of the server's after putting in the dessert order give each other a look like we were a bother. The whole experience was the most disappointing and ridiculous experience I have had in awhile. I worked in the restaurant industry for 14 years and never treated patrons the way I was treated. Never have customers literally had to argued with the server about the food being not good and basically going bad. Never have they not had their meal not taken off the bill or offered a different dish instead. Never have they been told too bad your hungry but our kitchen is closed so no we will not make you a different dish wasn't even offered a salad or anything nothing was basically eat this rotten fish or nothing. And no
Delicious craft cocktails that you won’t find around town. Seating is either in the beautiful historic house or outside both in the front and back. The brussel sprout salad is delicious. Burgers are tasty and the fried chicken some of the best you’ll eat. The service is top notch. This is a great stop for friends, couples or a special occasion group.
